JACKIE'S POV
We had passed our halfway mark into the contract already. It was October 14th, and our contract would be expired at around the start of January. Looking back on our months together, it had been going amazingly. So far, I've had a blast being with him, and so much good came out of it. Now, I was kind of happy he kept me up with that stupid song just so I could go out with him.
It started off as a whole hate thing, and I couldn't stand him. All I thought was negative about him, it was hard to just enjoy being around him. But of course, it didn't take long for me to realise I did have an attraction to Paul. Those first dates just convinced me so easily, and I don't know why. Maybe it was because I knew he was interested in what I liked, or he knew how to treat someone to a nice dinner. I don't know.
It's stupidly crazy thinking about how important Paul is to me now. Thinking back to the past few months, I couldn't imagine what it would be like if I didn't sign that contract. I wondered what I'd be doing, how my career would be going, and if I'd be with anyone at the point.
As I was deep in thought, Paul came up from behind me as I was cooking, and attacked my neck with kisses. I giggled as I hunched my shoulder together, and put down the spatula. "Paul! Not while I cook!" I giggled.
"Do I seem like I'd care? I'm too busy kissing my girl to care for the food you're making y'know," Paul said.
I tried to go back to cooking, but Paul had his arms around my waist, and his head rested on my shoulder. Using this to my advantage, when I reached over for a bit of salt, I made sure to move my hips up against him. It was so hard to refrain from bursting out in laughter when I heard him suck in air and hold it as my hips moved.
He let out a small groan as he let out his breath, and I innocently looked back at him. "What's wrong, Paul?" I asked.
"Oh, nothing's wrong, little miss innocent," Paul said sarcastically, rolling his eyes as he grinned at me. "You're a tease."
"I know," I said. "It doesn't mean you're getting any tonight."
"Aw, what?" Paul groaned, playfully slouching and stomping his foot with his hands on his hips.
"Uh huh. I gotta be up early tomorrow, and I know how you are. We do it in the afternoon, we'll end up with round two at night. We do it at night, we'll be doing it all night."
"Fine... But I get to take you on a date then," Paul said. "I uh... I'm not exactly sure what we would do on that date, but it's a date."
"Think fast, I wanna go out with you tonight," I said, watching as his eyes widened and his face flushed with worry.
"That's not enough time to think!"
"Paul," I said, turning off the stove, "I'm not asking for anything fancy."
He sighed, crossing his arms as he leaned against the bench. As I placed the food on a plate, I looked at him, waiting to see if he'd say anything. When he remained silent with that unreadable look on his face, I put everything in my hands down and approached him.
He was in thought, I knew that, but I didn't know what he was thinking. I placed my hands on his upper arm, staring as I waited. "If I'm taking you out, I wanna take you to something enjoyable. I don't want you to not have fun," Paul said.
"Paul, y'know I always have fun when I'm with you, right? It's never boring, being around you. Every time we're together, I'm just so happy, 'cause I love you so much," I said, before my eyes widened when I realised what I said.
