2 MONTHS LATER

I had just gotten off set after shooting an episode of the show I was involved in. It was so fun, filming this show. We were working on a comedy, which had proved to be a success. The show had gotten so big over here in Britain that they were going to try play it for American audiences which was extremely exciting.

Everything had kind of gone back to normal, just as my mother said it would. Things made so much more sense and I knew what I wanted to know. It also meant it was easier reconnecting with friends that I had forgotten about, such as Dan. He ended up being casted on the show too and was now my co-star.

My character in the show wasn't as prominent as Dan's, he had one of the lead roles. I was a recurring character that would appear every few episodes, but I've been told people love my character and that I add so much charm and humour to it, which is nice.

I got stopped by a shy worker who tapped me on the shoulder. "Um, hi, excuse me Ja- I mean M-Miss Alison, this script is for you for your next episode," she said.

"Thank you, dear," I said, taking the script and opening it up to see the first few lines. I loved reading a fresh script, it was always exciting to see what was happening next.

Dan came up behind me, sneezing on my neck. I turned around, rolling my eyes and laughing. "You can't pull that joke a second time, I know you have that bloody spray bottle," I giggled.

"Aw, shame, it was funny seeing you freak out the first time," Dan chuckled. "Anyway, I better head. Promised my sister I'd meet up with her today."

"All good. You have fun," I said.

I went back to my dressing room, sitting down to just refresh a bit. For some reason they had treated me to all this special stuff despite me being a side character. According to Dan, they were desperate to have me on the show which was why I was getting all this special treatment. I'd told them that I really don't need all of it, but they insisted.

It was time I finally do it. I was alone and had been feeling so much better, so I opened up my bag and pulled all the letters out. When I saw the handwriting on the back of each envelope, all the emotions had hit me again and I found myself trying not to weep.

Opening up the letter with the oldest date, I took a deep breath and unfolded it. This was unmistakably his writing, that stupid cursive and girly writing.

Dear Jackie,

I know you're mad at me, and I know you may never read this letter, but in case you do, I want you to know I love you. I'm willing to wait for you, I don't care how long it takes for you to realise this. We're meant to be, even if you don't think so.

At the time that you're reading this, I'm not sure if you remember what we had or not, but let me tell you, it was special. There was this time where we just rested in each other's bed all day because we had nothing better to do. All day, we would just kiss, cuddle, sing and make love. It was beautiful.

I'm sorry for what I did. I don't wanna make excuses, I know better than to think you'd accept them, but that was a long time ago. I'm not the same, I've changed and I just want you to see that. It hasn't been easy living with this but I couldn't just lie and pretend it never happened. You needed to know in order for us to be in a healthy relationship.

Even though you had run away and aren't talking to me, I love you. I wanna be yours, so please, come back to me. We are what we need.

I love you,

Paul

I put down the letter and looked at the other 4 that were waiting to be opened. It was hard not to let it all out in that moment. I still loved him, I hadn't learned to move on.
