It was terrible honestly. Even though we had made up earlier, there was still tension in the air. Everything was still awkward, like we didn't know how to move on from there. It should have been another thing we could have used to become stronger, but for some reason, every time something happened, something weakened. It felt like a never ending chain. We become weak as we become strong. It's like we don't move, which explains why Paul did what he did.

"You did what?" I questioned, my eyes widening in shock.

"We're heading to Paris baby! City of love!" Paul said, chuckling as he clapped his hands together.

"Oh my!" I said, putting my hand over my mouth. "What made you plan a trip to Paris?"

"I figured that we could really use some time to, y'know, maybe reconnect a bit? You and I both know that things haven't been the same. We need to rebuild this relationship," Paul said. His eyebrows furrowed upwards, and he held my hand, rubbing it with his thumb. "I don't want us to grow apart. We belong together."

I sighed, walking into his warm embrace. "When is this trip?"

"Well, you should probably have your bags packed by tomorrow," Paul said. I pulled away from him, gasping as he chuckled.

"What!"

"Yeah, I think it'd be best if we do it ASAP. Y'know, I wanna have this fixed quickly," Paul explained.

"But I have to start shooting a movie soon! Next Sunday, Paul!" I panicked. "I have to be there."

"Which is why I made sure we come back before then. Don't worry, I got it all sorted out with Larry, he says your schedule's cleared. Come on, love, you deserve this," Paul said, rubbing my shoulders.

I sighed in defeat, shrugging to myself. "Alright then, but you have to help me pack."

"Y'know, you can just relax for a bit, and I'll pack some stuff for you," Paul offered. "I promise I'll do a good job of it."

"If you'd like to, that would be amazing," I said, kissing his cheek.

He simply smiled at me and started walking off, before suddenly stopping. Paul turned around with his finger pointed in the air, and he had a cheeky smirk on his face. "I'll do it if you give me a nice big kiss."

I giggled, putting my hands on my hips as I tilted my head. "Well then, come here, cheeky!"

Paul ran over to me, before lifting me up and giving me a big bear hug in the air. I wrapped my arms around his neck and looked down at him, before placing a hand on his cheek. "I can't hold you forever, dear. Kissy kissy time!" Paul said, puckering his lips in a joking way.

I leaned down, giving him a long peck on the lips. He made a 'mwuah' sound as our lips parted, before putting me back down on the ground. "Happy now?" I asked, placing my hands on his shoulders.

"Very," Paul said, grinning. "Well, you stay here. I promise I'll pack the best clothes in your closet."

"Oh my god!" I exclaimed. "You're going to pack the most revealing and tightest clothes, aren't you, cheeky?"

Paul shrugged, with a wider grin on his face. Quickly, he ran off, racing upstairs to go pack my stuff. I simply sighed with a giggle, heading to the kitchen so I could boil some water. I just needed a cup of tea to clear my mind for now. Definitely a better alternative to the cigarettes I usually smoked when stressed or worried.

It was strange to think that tomorrow, I'd be on a plane with Paul to Paris. Don't get me wrong, travelling was fun. Well, the trip wasn't but the time spent at your destination was. I just hated planes, airports, everything. Surely, it'd bring out the worst in me. Maybe Paul'll rethink his actions and on why he chose me.
