Proposal

"No way that happened!" Lewis exclaimed as his eyes widened. "A woman really hit you?" Will chuckled as he put the bag of groceries on the table. "Sure did. It didn't really hurt that much, though."

Lewis rubbed the bruise on his boyfriend's face, which caused the older male to tense up for a moment.

"Lewis, I'm fine."

The let's player frowned at his boyfriend's comment and made his way to the refrigerator. Which made Will sigh. There was no point in trying to stop Lewis.

The younger male came back with an ice pack and ordered Will to sit down. The musician hissed in slight pain as Lewis pressed the cold item to his cheek.

"You're not fine, Will. Your cheek is swollen."

"Yeah....maybe, but I can still do this."

Will leaned in and pressed a kiss onto Lewis's lips, immediately groaning in discomfort. Lewis gave him a sly glare and removed the ice pack. "That hurt, didn't it?"

Will blushed in embarrassment and nodded.

"Looks like she cut ya too. You got a little scratch here." Lewis said, rubbing the mark inside Will's bruise. "What the hell happened while you were out?"

"Well, I was heading to the checkout area and this lady stopped me. She seemed really nice at first and told me she was a fan. I talked with her for like...I don't know, five minutes? Then she asked me if I was single and I told her no. She got pissed and punched me in the fucking face."

Lewis looked shocked and placed the ice pack back on Will's face. "Really? She hit you because you told her you were seeing someone?"

"Crazy, right? I got just as pissed as she did and I pushed her off of me—because she was trying to hit me again, and I got ahold of security."

Hailee was laughing as she grabbed the groceries from the table. "She got pissed and punched me in the fucking face. Now that's funny."

Will rolled his eyes and took the ice pack off his face. "Hey Lewis, wanna go out tonight? I hear there's a new barbecue restaurant a few blocks away."

Lewis smiled and stood up from his chair, "Sure, but let me get a bandaid for your face. Don't want people to assume that I hit you or anything."

Will nodded and Lewis left the room.

Hailee smiled and brushed her violet
hair out of her face as she made her way over to Will.

"I'm happy for you, Will. You deserve to be with him after all the shit you've been through. After Chloe, I thought you were done trying to love someone. I was worried about you for months. I honestly feared that you would do something stupid. Turns out, I wasn't wrong. When I heard about your suicide attempts, I nearly cried. I knew that I was right: you weren't okay. Not in the slightest."

Tears were beginning to form in Hailee's eyes, but she wiped them away. "I care about you, Will. I want what's best for you and Lewis. If you want to marry him, fucking go for it."

Will smiled and pulled the teenager in for a hug. "I will, Hailee. Thank you."

"So, I've got another place for us to go, but it's a surprise." Will said as they left the restaurant. Lewis grabbed his boyfriend by the hand and smiled. "That sounds fun. I can't wait!"

"Oh Will. It's beautiful!" Lewis exclaimed as they approached a park. The park was located next to a gazebo and a lake, which were both covered in fallen leaves from the purple trees. The lake was about five feet long and three feet wide with beautiful lilies floating in it; the gazebo was beautiful as well with a bench covered in rose petals.

"This is wonderful, Will." Lewis smiled.

Will smiled too and took Lewis by the hand again. They made their way to the gazebo and sat down on the bench. Lewis leaned his head on Will's shoulder as they watched the ducks swim in the lake. "I love you, Will."

"I love you too, Lewis. I haven't been this happy in months. I'm glad I have you."

"I'm glad I have you too, Will."

"No...seriously. I don't think I'd be alive right now if it weren't for you. Because of you, I've learned to love again and I'm forever grateful for that."

Will stood up from the bench and grabbed his boyfriend's hands. He used his other hand to reach into his back pocket, and smiled. "Lewis, you're one of the greatest things that have ever existed in my life, your wacky attitude makes me glad to wake up in the morning. I...honestly I could go on for hours, but we'd probably be here all year. I don't want to spend my life without you, not now, not ever. So..."

Will got down on one knee, and nearly cried at his boyfriend's surprised expression. The musician could barely hold it together. "L-Lewis Dawkins....will you marry me?"

Lewis practically launched himself off the bench and onto Will. "YES, YES, YES! I WILL MARRY YOU!"

Will let the tears fall down his face as he happily put the ring on Lewis's finger.

"Oh my God, Will! I can't believe it! We're going to get married!"
