After school, Cat and Robbie went to the bike rack in front of the school then proceeded to ride home together. When the two arrived, Robbie realized how sweaty he was. He couldn't help but be nervous since this was the first time he could be alone with Cat since there was no Sam in sight.

Cat opened the door and let Robbie in. "Home sweet home." She said in a huff when she put her book bag on the floor next to the couch. In an attempt to show chivalry, Robbie picked up her book bag and put it next to his on a beanbag chair nearby.

"So, is Sam around?" The boy asked nervously, looking around the apartment. Cat sat on the couch and looked down. "That's the problem, Sam said she was hanging out with Freddie for a little while last time we talked, but I haven't seen her since then," she said.

Robbie was relieved that Sam wasn't there to keep him from potentially becoming Cat's boyfriend, but felt bad since she seemed heartbroken. "I'll stay here with you so you aren't alone. I'm here for you," He said genuinely. Cat smiled a little and started to cry, holding onto him tight. "Thank you so much, I hate being alone."

Robbie froze, but eventually put his arm around her; feeling his palms start to sweat and his face getting warmer as he comforted her. As the day turned to night, Cat had finally stopped crying and Robbie kept her in his arms, rubbing her back as he felt every sob and hiccup she emitted.

"Thanks for staying here with me. I really needed a shoulder to cry on," Cat said in a slightly raspy voice, her eyes red from the tears. "No problem Cat. We can watch a movie to take your mind off of her. I mean, only if you want to," said Robbie.

The offer made Cat smile slightly and she nodded. She put a movie in the DVD player and sat on the couch next to the blushing boy. They sat in silence as the movie played. Robbie couldn't help but stare at Cat, her eyes focused on the tv screen.

She suddenly looked down, shocking him. "Um Robbie...your hand is on mine," Cat said quietly. "Oh sorry, I di--" Robbie started but was interrupted by a pair of lips on his. He was shocked but eventually closed his eyes. He never thought this day would come, but it was worth the wait.

Their lips finally parted and Cat stared at him blankly, suddenly gasping afterwards and running into her room. "I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have done that," she said as she ran. "Wait! Cat! I..." Robbie lingered with his last word, not wanting to tell her how he truly felt. He waited for her the whole night, but she never came out of the room.
