31~ THE WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE

One month later.

My seduction plan was still going full force. Surhail was almost at the verge of giving in. I admired his perseverance, the fact that he could go a month without still giving in.
I couldn't fathom why he didn't want to kiss me. Just a kiss, we will gradually move on from there. I bet he is a good kisser. Obviously, you can't have that lips and not be able to make good use of it. I mean why else do you have it?

My thoughts was all over the place as I couldn't wait for him to make the first move. I was in my thoughts smilling like an idiot unknowingly until Basma pointed it out.

"Are you okay?" I looked up at her confused.

"You're smiling. Like an idiot may i add"

Before I could reply Tabitha butt in."Maybe she's thinking of her boyfriend. Right?" She raised her brow.

  "Well..yes I was thinking of my boyfriend." A devilish idea made its way to my head. "He refused to kiss me. Its been two weeks and he hasn't even hug me yet." I whined. Basma froze, then looked up with a glare of annoyance. Then went back to eating her food.

"What? Two weeks?" Seyi questioned. "Did you find an aboki mallam?" She teased then started laughing.

"On the contrary, a very intelligent guy, very modern too, I just don't get it." I sighed placing my chin in the palm of my hands. I was waiting for Basma's reply.

"Perhaps he doesn't like you." Tabitha suggested. "Or he's gay!" She gasped.

"Yeah, could be that." Seyi agreed.

"Believe me guys, He's not gay." I defended with a chuckle."He's just too religious."

"Or.." Basma dragged. "He likes you so much that he's willing to wait until he gets you on lawful terms."

"Boring!" Tabitha, Seyi and I chorused. Basma rolled her eyes, then stood up stumping her feet out of the cafeteria.

"What wrong with her?" Seyi questioned.

I gave a small smile." I don't know too."

"Oh come on, are you seriously mad at me for that? I was just having fun!" I whined, holding her hands and swinging them left and right.

"Yes." He face was passive.

"Oh come on. Okay i promise not to talk about your brother with anyone again. Deal?"

"Fine." Her face was still set in a scowl.

"Toh smile nah." I pouted, making little faces until eventually She smiled. "Aha. There it is."

"So.." She started. "What's been going on with you? I noticed you vomited twice today. Are you sick? I swear you're like the only person that I know vomits when experiencing simple Malaria." She rambled.

"Hey!" I scolded." Malaria is not simple. Its one of the most uncomfortable sickness ever."

Her eyes widened. "So there's comfortable sickness?"

"Shut up!" I grumbled. "But I really need to check myself aha. I have been getting weird symptoms."

"Like?" She questioned.

"Sensitive breasts, headache, nauseous and tired, my fingers feels numb when I pick something, even a pen." I explained. Her eyes narrowed in on me.

"You better not be pregnant." She has a scary look on her face, making me gulp nervously.

"Of course, I'm not!" I swiped my hands to add more to the effect.
"You better not be. Or I will kill you."

I could be pregnant , I was sure of it but I desperately prayed for it not to be true.

I hurried to the clinic on my way home and purchased a pregnancy test kit. I made my way home and rushed into the bathroom.

Five minutes later and I confirmed my biggest nightmare. I was pregnant.
Well I'm going to get killed. I'm sure Basma make it gruesome. How? I knew how but why? Why when Surhail and I are getting closer? How will he react? It must have been on my birthday or maybe before then. I'm dead! Basma is going to kill me!
I knew what to do and I need to do it Asap.
