4~ THE KISS

Sitting on Alhaji Bello's leg didn't feel as awkward as I expected it to be, shocking yes but not awkward.

His hands move to caressed my hipline, making me stiffen on my seat, as I had never been touched before by a guy, much less an elderly man.

"Relax, you will enjoy been with me." He promised. The waiter arrived at that particular moment, and every one ordered expect me as I don't know many of the things that are there.

How on earth will onion be blended and cooked as a soup?

It was confusing but everybody else knew what was served, it's like they had been there numerous times.

"What do you want baby?" Alhaji Bello questioned, I looked at the menu with different section, sea food and other, my eyes landed on lobster and I just decided to go with it, fear of embarrassing myself.

The lobster arrived and I looked at it as if I had never seen a crab on tv before, it kind of looked like Sebastian from the little mermaid.

"Cone on taste it." Alhaji Bello offered and moved to tear a part of it and fed it to me, I never thought it would had been that  soft, it kind of tasted like fish but just softer.

After that little experiment, I dove in, tearing and eating like my life depended on it, I loved fish more than I do meat but that particular sea food was messedwith my mind on many ways that one.

We finished the food and we're preparing to leave when my eyes moved to look for Tabitha and the divas, Tabitha was kissing the guy she sat on his legs and basma was rubbing his chest, I looked down to my hand shyly playing with my fingers.

"Aww she's shy!" Alhaji Bello teases and with a finger raised my head up to meet his. "Have you never been kissed before baby?" He pondered and I spoke my head indicating no.

"Well then, were going to be changing that real soon." He promised and my heart started beating faster, I didn't know how to react or if to even say anything.

Three hours later at exactly seven pm, i decided to leave but the divas refused saying until after nine or ten, at that time the idea baffled me.

Staying out until nine or ten? The thoughts of my parents flogging me came to my head.

With much insistence from me to Alhaji Bello, he decided to drove me him himself.

Twenty minutes more we were a few houses away from my house and that was because I had to change back to my normal attire before continuing the journey back home, Alhaji Bello packed and before I could get out, he held my hand and placed a bundle of money on it. My eyes widen, I had never seen a money like that, looking all new and neat, but right now it's in my hand.

Before I could protest he Leaned over and kissed me, he didn't touch maybe because he figured out I would faint if he did, and that was it.

"Go home baby and good night, I will call you later." He dismissed and started his car, my hand moved to open the door pausing Momentarily.

"But you don't have my number." I pointed out, to which he grinned showing his yellowish teeth.

"Oh but I do." Not knowing what to say, I stepped out and he immediately drove off.

Smiling I turned to walk back but instead came face to face with mother's best friend.

"Zara, daga ina kike? Kuma motar waye wannan?" (Zara, where were you from? And whose car was that ?) She pondered and I fidgeted with my hijab.

"Innan hajara, daga islamiyya nake." (Mom of hajara, I'm from the Islamic school) I excused, and immediately said my goodbyes before she will ask other ones.

My heart was beating loudly as I thought of what would happen back at home.

Would I be flogged?
Is dad back?

With a heavy heart and full of faith, I entered our house only to saw my mom standing at the door with a cane in her hand.

Innalillahi wa inna ilayhir rajiuun. (From Allah we are and to him we shall return.)
