That day ten years ago. I lost my child. I was born premature and didn't had any chance of surviving. Just six months in my stomach and it lost it life. Thankfully my womb remained fertile. As three years later i gave birth to a set of triplets. Two boys and a girl. Life couldn't be happier Surhail and i was still going strong like nothing ever happened. My secret was still safe. As he and Basma swore that they would take the secret to their grave.
Basma now married to a politician named faruk. They are blessed with two children. Surhail and I still haven't given birth again. Surhail insisted on three kids alone.
I was able to finish my university. Surhail enrolled me into baze alongside Basma where i studied economics.
Life was good and everything was going great. My parents initially forgave me. When i was giving birth to my first child. Everyone thought i was going to die. I kept blabbing rubbish and seeking for forgiveness from everyone especially my parents and Surhail. After I lost my child with three months. Surhail performed another Nikkah. Just to be sure we're not wrong in both aspects of the Hadiths we looked up.

As I look up at Laura high, the emotions and experience keel flowing in. Ten years. Our ten hears reunion. I wonder if i should be happy. I wouldn't have met Surhail if not for Laura high."Fatima! You're Fatima Bukar right?" A voice exclaim. I turn to take in the person. Chubby. She is wearing a short flow gown that reaches to her knees. Her face is familiar but then did I know anyone that was chubby.
"Its me Tabitha." Holy hell.. My palms immediately made it way to my mouth.
"What? How are you? What happened to you?" I immediately slap my mouth from from the slip of tongue.
But instead of an upset face. She smile. "Life happened." I was still awestruck, the Tabitha i know will never leave her body shape to dissolve. She was obsessed with how she looks.
"Uh...how is seyi?" A sad look Make it way to her face.
"She died three years ago. Lung cancer "
"Oh...I'm sorry."
"So, how is your family? Your husband and kids?" She finally question, looking around. "Where's Basma."
"Everyone is fine and Basma is here somewhere."
"Okay. My regards." She turn to leave.
"What about you? Your family I mean." I blurt out. She turn back to look at me.
"I don't have any kids, and I got divorced three years ago."
"Oh.." I have no idea what to say. "I'm sorry."
"Don't bother." And then walk away. Her hands moving to wipe her face. I wonder if she is crying.
"Fatima." A voice I can never forget to speak out. Oh fuck me.
"Yusuf." I turn with a smile.
"I knew it was you." He smile back.
After conversing for a while, he announce he was married to two wives but no child. They are still trying for one. After wishing him luck. I move my way outside. Finding a bench and sitting on it.
Seeing all this people make me remember my life before Surhail. Will I have ended like them? Those thoughts keep filing my thoughts until eventually I smile. No cause I always have my knight in shining armour with me.
