"Emma I think I still have feelings for you"

"What? How? You married this doesn't make sense" I say in pure shock she just said that now.

"I know. I know I'm married. I shouldn't say that but I don't know. Seeing you brought back feelings I thought I shut away forever" Regina replied as she hopped of the chair and looked down shocked she said anything.

"Regina I"

"No please. Just don't say anything that will make this harder. I just want to try one last thing and then put this behind me" she cuts in as she walked towards me. I looked curiously at her as she held my hand. "Can you stand up quick" she asked gently pulling my arm.

"Sure" I replied looking confused.

I stood up and in front of her. She placed her hands on my hips looking down at them. I just looked down at her wondering what she's doing. She looked up slowly at me and our eyes locked.

"Close your eyes and don't touch me. I just want to do one thing to get rid of these feelings" Regina says as she moved her hands up my body.

I nod softly while looking in her eyes. I did as she said and closed my eyes. I felt her hands move up my neck and hold each of my cheeks in her hands.

"Regina" I start to say.

"Sshh. Don't say anything" she cuts in quickly.

After a few seconds I felt her soft plump lips against mine. Her hands moved to the back of my head. I just stood there not knowing what to do. I push my lips out to join the kiss but I keep my arms by my side. I couldn't resist it. I slowly moved my hand to hold her hip and moved closer. Regina then pulled her lips from mine but left her body where it was. We just looked at each other shocked.

"What about your wife" I asked breaking our silence.

"She will never know. No one can ever know. Please. Me being a gay woman mayor in this town I need to keep a good reputation. Emma please. I beg you. Don't tell anyone" Regina says as she grabbed my top and looked worried at me.

"Why did you do it" I asked confused but still a little shocked.

"I needed to do it one last time. Just to get rid of my feelings for you" Regina says not moving her body from mine.

"Did it work" I ask knowing exactly what answer I want.

She paused for a moment. Just looking at different features of my face. I don't know what she's thinking but I'm curious. Regina let go of my top and stepped back slowly.

"Yeah. Thanks" she says smiling softly.

I think she's lying. I can see it in her eyes. She's not telling me something. I know the best way to get her to talk. Get her drunk.

"I haven't been out for a drink in awhile. How about next Saturday we go out together? Or is your wife back that day" I asked as I watched her drink the rest of her wine.

"Sounds good. Emma I'm really sorry" Regina says as she pulled me into a hug. I held her close to me as she squeezed. We then heard the door creak. We pulled away and looked round to see Freddie and Aubrey stood there. "Umm hey guys. What's up" Regina asked awkwardly while moving her hair behind her ear.

"Rey was thursty" Freddie replied looking at me a little shocked.

"Come here sweetie. I'll get you a drink" Regina says holding her hand out.

She went to the sink with Aubrey. I gestured for Freddie to come here. He walked over still a little shocked.

"How long were you stood there" I asked quickly.

"I came in as you two were stood very close with her holding your shirt" he says still looking very shocked at me.

"Nothing happened ok" I quickly say knowing I'm lying to him. He gave me the look as if I'm stupid for lying. "Fine I'll tell you later. Just keep your mouth shut" I sighed knowing I can't.

"Deal... come on Aubrey. Let's go back upstairs and I'll show you some magic" Freddie says holding his hand out to Aubrey.

She had the drink in her hand and held Freddie's with the other. They left the room and closed the kitchen door. I picked my wine glass up and drunk the rest of it.

"You want a top up" Regina asked holding the bottle up.

"Thanks" I replied holding the glass to her.

Regina poured the wine into my glass before topping her own up. She walked back over and sat down on the island.

"So have you seen Lola yet" Regina asked before taking a sip.

"I saw her but I haven't spoken to her. I take it you still don't get along" I say with a chuckle knowing I'm right.

"Spot on. That bitch is awful. No offence. She punched me the day of your wedding" Regina replied looking angry at the thought.

"No way. Why" I asked now shocked at this.

"She was in her wedding dress so it must have been after you left. She wakes in and punched me in the face. She asked if I confessed my love to you and of course I denied it since I didn't" Regina says frowning and getting angry at the memory.

"Confess your love? Why did she think you loved me" I asked now a little confused.

"She knew I'd never told anyone before that I loved them. Knowing that I told you she knew I was a threat" Regina replied with a shrug.

"Ok new topic" I suggest with a chuckle.

"Yes" Regina replied now laughing a little as well.

"What's your wife like? I don't even know her name" I say before taking a very large gulp of my wine.

"Her name is Monica. She's British and is in England to see her family now. We were friends for years before we got married" Regina replied as her eyes wondered around the room.

"British? I love the accent" I replied a little annoyed she's British.

"Same. I love her" Regina says as her thought trailed off.

British people have such a good accent. I love it so much. It's so hot that accent. How can I compete with an English girl. Why am I trying to compete? I can't win. I playing a game I'm destined to loose. I'm just not sure I'm willing to loose yet when winning means Regina. I don't know what to do. God dammit! Can't someone else just do all this for me and wake me up when it's perfect. I just looked into Regina eyes while she spoke and wished I could do this everyday... but I can't. I can still feel Regina's warm lips against mine.
