Special chapter. Monica's pro

I hung up the phone with Emma now very confused. Regina said we slept together and said my name during sex. Why? We NEVER had sex. We aren't in love. I went up to her room and knocked on the door.

"Come in" Regina answered in a mopey voice. I walked in and she smiled slightly at me. "Hey. What's up"

"Why did you do it? Why did you say my name? I know you did and I want to know why" I ordered as I crossed my arms and frowned at her.

"How do you... did Emma tell you" she replied looking confused at me while sitting up.

"Yeah. Well Freddie did but Emma said it to him. Why did you do it? Also we never had sex together so I have no idea why you would say my name unless it was by purpose" I questioned walking a step closer to her bed.

"Fine you got me. It was done by purpose because I wanted to ruin it. I cant get back together with Emma. I got scared" Regina admits throwing her head back against the pillow.

"Are you kidding me?! Regina you've been waiting to tell her how you felt for years now. Emma told you when she was engaged she loved you. She told you yesterday she loves you. She told you today. Why the hell would you want to get rid of a woman who admitted 3 times she loves you" I asked as I looked half annoyed half confused.

"Because of Lola. I... I thought I would destroy everything if I went through with it" Regina sighed still staring at the ceiling.

"Well now you've destroyed everything with Emma. You honestly think she's going to take you back after this. Why would you do that and not just say I'm not ready" I asked now angry she actually just done that.

"Because I didn't know what to do. I panicked. I love Emma but I love my daughter more and if it comes down to choosing I will pick Aubrey over everyone in this world. If Lola will take her away for me to be with Emma then I chose not to" Regina sighed as she sat up to look at me.

"Well you've fucked that up. Regina she was so in love with you. Your so in love with her"

"You don't think I know that" she cut in annoyed at me.

"Then why would you be an asshole" I asked quickly as I stepped forward more angry.

"I didn't know what to do. I told you this. Monica enough with this shit. Me and Emma were obviously never meant to be together" she snapped as she looked stressed at me.

I saw tears in Regina's eyes. She looked down at the ground as she stood from the bed. I walked over to her and hugged my best friend tight. Regina held me back and let out a deep breath.

"You shouldn't have done that. Lola can't do anything. Emma is the only one who could" I softly say as I swayed slightly side to side.

"I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. I think we should stop lying. We should get a divorce. Just be friends to the public. I'm done lying to people about everything" Regina requested as she slipped out of my arms.

"That's understandable. We need a story though. People will be asking. We can just say we're not in a good place right now" I replied as I held her arms in my hands.

Before either of us spoke the front door knocked. We both looked at the door confused. I wasn't expecting anyone and I'm pretty sure Regina wasn't.

"Mummy! The front door knocked" Aubrey shouts as she walked into Regina's bed room.

"I know sweetie. Mon can you answer it" Regina replied as she went to her bed.

I went downstairs and to the front door. I opened it to see Freddie and Emma stood there.

"Hey. I'm so glad your here" I say with a slight smile.

"Freddie just came to say goodbye to Regina. Is she here" Emma asked looking upset and trying to avoid eye contact.

"Goodbye? Where you going" I asked really hoping she isn't leaving town again.

"I'm leaving for about 8 to 9 months. I want to find someone. Is Regina here" she asked again now looking at me.

"Yeah. She's upstairs. Give me a second. Come in" I replied as I move out the way.

"Actually I'm dropping Freddie off to say goodbye. I have to do some thing for half hour and then I'll be back if that's ok" she asked now trying to search around everywhere but me again.

"Sure. Come on in Freddie. I'll see you soon Emma" I say knowing I can't fix what happened.

She smiled slightly and waved. I watched her turn and walk towards her car. Freddie came in and stood in the hall awkwardly.

"Is she upstairs" he asked looking around.

"Yeah. REGINA. COME HERE" I shout up the stairs.

The sound of her footsteps came down the stairs. Regina came into view with puffy red eyes. She looked at Freddie and smile brightly.

"Hey Gina" he says smiling at her.

"Freddie? Hi. I'm so glad to see you" she says as she walked over and pulled him in a hug. They both kept each other close. Everyone knows they get along so well. "What are you doing here" Regina asked pulling away.

"I came to say goodbye this time. When I was 6 I didn't get the chance" Freddie replied awkwardly.

"What? Your leaving? Monica is this true" Regina asked looking shock at me now.

"That's what Emma just said. She's leaving for 9 months to go find someone" I replied with a nod.

"Oh..." she replied as she turned back to face Freddie. Her eyes had tears in as she held his face. "Well thank you for saying goodbye. I love you so much kid. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have my daughter now" she says looking into his eyes.

"I love you too Regina. I remember you were always like my other mum or my close favourite aunt. I missed you so much" Freddie says making Regina smile brightly.

"You can always call me. I want you to think of me as your other mum if you want me to be. I'm always here. Make sure you come back" Regina requests as she let a tear slip from her eye.

Watching Regina say goodbye to Freddie broke my heart. I care about Regina so much. She's my best friend. To see her saying goodbye again to a child who is like a son breaks me. I watched her hug him tight and look upset. I think I know what's going on with Emma. If she's leaving for 9 months then I think she's pregnant. I'm just not sure why she wants to leave to have it. She'll be back though. When she does Regina and her can talk all this over. I hope.
