When In Paris

Chapter 26

JUSTIN 

"Yes I've seen your post for the millionth time sis." I tell Camila as I make mine and Crystal's coffee and our breakfast. 

I woke up the morning to my phone ringing and not wanting to wake up Crystal who was still peacefully sleeping. I left the room and no surprise it was my sister thanks to the wonderful time difference between California and Paris. Sometimes my sister thinks its a great time to call when its a great time for her with her doing this a lot in the past. But of course she forgets the time difference and while its now 3pm in the afternoon in Paris its only 7am in the morning here in California. 

"Sis you do know it's only 7am here, right?" I told her. 

"Oops I forgot again, didn't I?" She asked me. 

"Yeah." 

 "I'm sorry I hope I didn't wake you up," she said. 

"No not at all," I said lying to her. "I was awake long before you called. Kind of gave Serena the day off cooking because I wanted to cook breakfast for Crystal who's still sleeping." 

"Oh aren't you the sweetest," she said. 

"Is there a point to this early morning phone call, Sis?" I asked her eager to know the reasoning to this phone call which I had a pretty good idea on what it was about. 

Not that I didn't want to be on the phone but with it still being early and the possibility of Crystal waking up any moment. Now just didn't seem like the time for an impromptu call - not that I thought it was at all.

"Oh yeah, look I'm glad I caught you at a good time because as well as calling to check on how everything went last night with the evening picnic which I'll come back to," she said. "I actually wanted to run something by you that I've been thinking about ever since I found out about you and Crystal being back together. 

"Ok what's up?" 

"Well you know how Crystal has always wanted to go to Paris ever since she was little," she said. Like it's her ultimate dream to go there." 

"Yeah what about it." I asked wondering where she is going with this. 

"Well you know how after Crystal's graduation ceremony you have to fly to Paris to attend your half-yearly meetings, catch up with you mate Elijah Knight and also attend my graduation assembly at the end of all that, right?" 

"Camila just come out with it already," I said eager for her to get to the point. "What are you trying to ask here?" 

I'm shocked with what Camila says next and I would be lying to myself if I wasn't thinking about what she's suggesting myself. And now it's on my mind for the rest of the phone call with her with her going back to asking about how well did the last night go with the evening picnic and telling her about her well it went and thanking her for her help. Her engagement is also thrown into the conversation while I continue cooking breakfast. And now here we are with her asking me over and over if I've seen the engagement announcement post and me telling her multiple times that I have. 

"Crystal actually showed me," I say. "Apparently she's been following you for years even during our time apart I guess." 

"Yeah I know," she says. Then she scoffs. "I can't believe you never knew that all the times you've seen my Insta."
