Flashback

It was a somber hour for the Shinobi Alliance forces and conduits. It was just then that they had watched a good number if their allies just fall before them as Obito had used the tree's roits to trap the ninja in them, draining them of their chakra and killing them off. According to Isobu and Kurama's knowledge, that form if the Ten Tails was it's final form called the Divine Tree, its what drains the natural energy from them.

Delsin had originally thought his clan memebers were safe as had no chakra to begin with so the Divine Tree couldn't kill them but he was surely mistaken. To the Divine Tree, as long as you had a energy source in you, be it chakra, energy like matter, or even your damn soul for Christ sake, you were of use to it and it will steal it from you. Many Conduits were sucked into this massive tree, killing them instantly and it burned Delsin to his very core. 'Obito will pay for their lives!' He thought.

The only ones who were safe from this onslaught were the reanimations a.k.a Minato, Tobirama, Hashirama, Hiruzen and Madara. Everyone, including himself were battling with these roots. Delsin had more than most people because he was a jinchuriki, meaning he had more chakra than most people, not to mention he had four different types of energy sources at his leisure, to the Divine Tree, he's probably the tastey dessert that everyone would rush to eat.

But with his trusty DreadFang at his side, he was easily able to slice the roots down with ease and push ahead. The roots were thick but his sword was able to cut through it like a knife, slicing through butter. He dispelled the clone of Isobu and called back Hikaru, who returned into a glowing white necklace that hung around it's creator's neck in the style of the same hawk symbol that he had on his back shirt, surprising even himself that he could do such a thing but he didn't dwell on it as he had bigger problems at hand.

He cut a attacking branch that had come to steal his chakra and the other from behind, sensing the attack without looking. 'Jeez these things act like they have a mind of their own....' He thought before hearing a shrilling scream that sounded like Naruto. Turning his head see what it was, the Conduit found his Uzumaki friend being tied up by the roots and brought up trapped by more roots to absorb his chakra. It was probably that out of everyone here, Naruto had the most chakra, even surpassing the First Hokage's chakra level.

Tobirama tried to save him with his Water jutsu but it was hopeless due to being so many branches. Delsin neon sprinted to them and threw DreadFang to slice up the roots to free Naruto, in which it worked but Hiruzen came and caught the falling boy. They we're lucky to get him down when they did because Naruto's Chakra Cloak was absorbed. Once they had Naruto safe and sound, they teleported to the front lines where the remains of The Allied Shinobi Forces were. There was heavy casualties, nearly half the force was completed

Shikamaru nearly being one of them, the poor guy was barely clinging to life as it was if it wasn't for Sakura and Ino's Mythical Palm Jutsu. Delsin ran in next and saw a few but not too many of his clan memebers were killed in the heavy attack. He was slightly relieved but still mourned the loss as a lot of people still died, innocent people who had nothing to to with this had died for nothing. He brought them here, whether or not that it was their choice to stay and fight, he brought them and their deaths will loom over his head for a long while.

But he knew the best way to even begin to start coping with their deaths was to avenge them or even better, ensure victory here. He would fight for not only himself and his family anymore, he would fight for everyone. He looked at Naruto, who was a complete wreck, still not believing that this many people died here. Honestly, he'd knew the boy would react this way, who wouldn't. He looked around himself to see all the empty and hallow corpses that layed on the field with roots around them.
