Ocean Eyes

Morning had come after a night full of stars. The world had no idea how the two spent their night out being all soft and full for each other. Soobin got to know what kind of talents Huening Kai had, not a hit-or-miss, but a blessed and well-inheirited talents. Being able to listen to Huening Kai's singing was like a dream, the angelic voice could send him to sleep, but Soobin didn't want to miss a single chance to see Huening Kai's long eyelashes moving stumbly while he was singing. When Huening Kai closed his eyes, the song sounded like an outer space, as if Soobin was thrown to another dimension. However, Soobin saw an ocean when Huening Kai opened his eyes, there were so many things going on in the eyes, various kinds of feeling and thoughts, different type of sparkles that Soobin coulnd't describe.

Huening Kai's eyes contained two different realms when Soobin looked at them. Not that Soobin could read someone's mind or had special ability to see through someone's feeling, but Huening Kai radiated illegible ambience each time Soobin came to see him.

It was warm already in the morning, the sky was blue and the sun rose quite early. Though they were entering autumn season, thankfully the warmth was still there while a lot of evacuations were still being done at the moment. The volunteers had two days left until they could go home and back to their regular, luxury life. Some were happy, some were okay, some were sad.

Soobin was found standing in front of the doctors' container, eating his breakfast with bread and almond milk as his main menu. No complain, he would eat bread as much as he could. No wonder why Soobin was very tall and fair, he consumed so much dairy in a day. However, the face wasn't very beaming under the sunlight.

6:30 AM, Soobin peeked on his wristwatch. Still too early for everything, but his mind was a mess already.

Hyunjin, who just finished showering, saw his friend standing at the porch, doing nothing but eating. He then took a piece of bread for himself and tapped Soobin by the shoulder. "Early for the good weather?"

"I talked a lot with Huening Kai's dad last night." Soobin said while chewing.

"Yeah?" Hyunjin took a bite, still curious about the conversation. "And then?"

"... a lot of things happened, apparently."

"Did you talk about the house?"

"Yeah,"

"And?"

"Good evening, Mr. Huening." Soobin bowed about 90 degrees to Huening Kai's father, David. Since both of them were familiar to each other due to several meeting in the past, his father smiled widely as he saw the doctor he knew. "I'm sorry for bringing Huening Kai this late. I supposed to tell you beforehand."

"No, no problem at all. I thought the doctors are resting already." David answered as he embraced his one and only son.

"Not yet, Sir. My friends are surely still playing deck of cards now at our container." Soobin chuckled. "How are you? Is your condition stable lately?"

"I'm fine, doctor Choi. You've been very helpful to us."

"Dad, he hates to be called doctor." Huening Kai interrupted and elbowed his father on the waist, signaling a joke. Soobin was immediately drown in blush and heat.

"Really? But he is a good doctor, I've heard he helped during childbirth in another tent." Though David didn't know Soobin personally, he still looked proud and admired Soobin from some ways, especially Soobin's role as a medical staff there.
