Wow.

I clutch my head in an attempt to stop the throbbing against my skull. Wait is it wet? I flicker my heavy eyes open and glance down at my hand, but it has been turned completely red....blood.

"Shit that isn't good".

I try to ignore the throbbing pain in my head and glance around the shuttle. It was a rough landing, we weren't supposed to hit the ground at that speed. I cautiously undo my seatbelt and rush to Raven, but luckily I can see that she's breathing, and so are both my parents it just looks like they passed out from the impact of hitting the ground, but of course I would be the only one to hit my damn head.

It's been ten minutes and still no one has woken up and I'm starting to get worried. I have cleaned the cut on my head and it doesn't seem to be serious, well that's what I'm hoping.

I move back to Raven's side and try gently shaking her but it still has no effect. After another 10 minutes of shaking them and screaming their names, they still haven't woken up. Time to try something new.

I dart to the escape hatch and push it open and it reveals a bright blue sky above and emerald green grass covering the floor, it takes everything in me to not stand there and admire the beauty, but I have a job to do.

I return back to Raven and undo her seat-belt, next I carefully place my hands under her arms and begin to drag her outside, hopefully the fresh air will help them. I place her down on the grass just outside of the shuttle and gaze into the treeline. For a moment, I thought I had saw a figure hiding in the darkness, though the main indication was a red sash that seemed to be dancing in the breeze. But that's impossible right? We were told that no one survived the bombs? Perhaps I am just too tired.

With that in mind, I rub my eyes and glance back at the tree and this time I see nothing. Putting it down to my imagination, I turn back to drag my parents out.

After finally dropping my dad I sit back on a rock, panting, and wipe away the sweat dripping down my forehead. After checking that they're still breathing, I finally get the chance to completely take in my surroundings.

It's better than I ever could have imagined, and as of now there are no indications that the air is toxic, thank god.

For the next 10 minutes I do nothing but stare at the wonders around me as I wait for them to wake back up. The first sign is an exaggerated moan from none other than genius Reyes.

"Fuck me what happened?" she mutters as her eyes gradually flicker open and her eyes lock on to me. I rush to her side and gently help her to sit up. "Am I dead?" she instantly asks. I can't help but let a smile spread across my face, "Surprisingly no, we made it Raven......we actually made it".

Just like me, a smile quickly spreads across her face, but it quickly vanishes, "oh my god Clarke your head".

"Don't worry about me Reyes, I'm fine I must have just hit my head on the way down, it's nothing serious". But still concern is clear on her face so I cup her cheek and promise "I'm okay Raven, honestly".

I  know she is still worried about me but  we have other things to concentrate on, so I carefully pull her onto her feet and guide her to sit down on a nearby rock, while I return to the shuttle to grab some water. When I return I find both my parents conscious and sitting up, all three of them in awe of the world around them and my heart flutters.

"We're home" I shout, smiling, and walk towards them with water in hand.
