CLEM? CLEM!" Gabe yelled as he saw her close her eyes. "Dammit!" He said, on the verge of freaking out. He listen for her breathing, she was still breathing softly.

"What happened?! Is she sick? Is she....NO! She can't be!" Gabe's mind began to panic, "Was she bitten?!" His fear asked again. "No way! No fucking way!" He answered it.

"Shit!" Gabe thought as walkers, who had heard him yell, were approaching. "Got to move, Gabe!"

He looked at Clementine, there was no way she was getting up and moving. "Leave her she's bit! Save yourself!" His fear yelled as the walkers got closer, "NO! I won't leave her!" He told his fear. He put his bat in the sling on his back and (struggling to do so) lifted Clementine off the ground, bridal style.

He turned and walked left, the only direction walkers didn't seem to be coming from. If he thought lifting her was hard, walking was torture. It didn't help that it started raining....or that he could hear the walkers followed him from behind. "I'm not gonna leave you Clem!" He told himself as he trudged on.

Three hours later Gabe wasn't sure how much longer he could go on. He had no idea where he was anymore and his fear had nagged at him the whole time, "You're wasting your time! She's bit! You're lost! The walkers are gonna catch you! Clementine will turn and rip your throat out! You can't keep this up much longer!"  "She's NOT bit!" He answered, staggering on in the rain, His arms screaming for relief. He had put some distance between him and the walker's,he assumed, because he no longer heard them.

"Agghh!" He yelled tripping over a tree root and falling, as he dropped Clem into the mud. "Fuck!" He yelled, his foot throbbing.

"Get up Gabe!" ,He told himself, "You need to keep going!"  He went to pick up Clem, but he couldn't lift her, he was out of strength and his arms refused to work.

"Just leave her Gabe. You tried but you can't save everyone." Gabe looked over his shoulder, he could see the walkers in the distance, they were still getting closer. He looked at Clem ,still unconscious in the mud. "Just leave. You don't have the strength to continue, you haven't eat in the last two days, you have no idea where you are, you're soaking wet and so is she, your foot is hurt, and to top it off the walkers are getting closer. Save yourself."

Gabe shook his head, "No. I won't give up on you! You didn't have to come save me but you did so I have to save you!" Gabe said out loud, as he gave a tremendous effort, succeeded in lifting Clem. "I'll keep carrying you until I can't, and when I can't, I'll fight the walkers as long as I can, but I WON'T leave you." He told Clem, who was still out, as he pushed on. His fear became silent as the rain came down all the harder.

After a few minutes Gabe tripped and fell to his knees, but he held on to Clem. "Get up, Gabe." He told himself getting back up.

A few minutes later he fell again, not letting go of Clementine. "Get up Gabe!" He told himself, his knees shaking as he continued.

He fell again a little later, "GET UP GABE!" He told himself but he couldn't move. He looked at Clem's unconscious face. "She needs you! She needs you to GET UP!" He told himself but he still couldn't get back on his feet. "Get up!" He said out loud . He couldn't move. "GET UP!" He yelled out load. He started to rise. "She needs you! She needs you!" He told himself gritting his teeth as he rose. "She needs me!" He said out loud as he shakily got to his feet. He staggered forward, he knew that was his last push, if he fell again, he doubted he would be able to lift her again. "Then.....I'll fight....buy her....a little more time...." He thought, his teeth grinding on each other as he took each step.
