2781 Words."What the fuck? It's a kid?" Mason said trying to be quiet but everyone could in the camp could still here him. Now that Gabe could see him more clearly, Gabe saw that Mason was blond haired and clean-shaven. He looked to be in his twenties and he was large, in height and width.
Gabe met 'Sir' with an angry look. He was maybe thirty with dark hair and eyes. His body shape thin but tough.
"Drop your weapons." 'Sir' said, his eyes locked onto Gabe.
"I'd prefer to keep them if it's the same to you." Gabe snapped, his angry getting the better of him.
"It's not! So drop them or we do it the hard way." 'Sir' said dangerously, his eyes moving to Charlie for a second. Gabe got the point.
Gabe reached over his back and grabbed his bat. He dropped it in front of him. "Shittt. You got a baseball bat?" Mason said in almost awe.
"Shut It Mason." Bill said quietly. The dislike between the two was obvious.
Gabe took the hatchet from his side and dropped it and he did the same with his knife. Gabe still kept his gun in his jacket though.
"Is that everything?" 'Sir' asked, after Gabe dropped the knife and let his arms go limp.
Gabe didn't say anything.
"I said, is that everything?" 'Sir' said his tone dangerous again.
"What do you fucking think?!" Gabe said angrily staring him in the face.
An angry look crossed 'Sir's face and he punched Gabe in the face, knocking him to the ground.
"Don't fuck with me boy! Or your day is about to become hell!" He yelled as Gabe slowly got back up.
"My day is already hell!" Gabe snarled to 'Sir' as he got to his knees. Gabe wasn't afraid, he was angry! He didn't care if he got hurt, he just wanted to hurt the assholes who were going to attack his home.
Sir looked as if he was about to hit Gabe again but he didn't. He offered Gabe his hand with a sigh, "we all know that feeling."
Gabe hesitantly took it. Sir sat back down and took a drink. "Want some?" He asked. "Uh....no thanks." Gabe said, standing awkwardly as the men still stared at him. Sir shrugged and took another drink.
"You got guts kid," Sir said, "must be why you're still around. Name's Travis." He said offering his hand.
Gabe made a split second decision between lying or telling the truth as he went shake his hand, "My name is Gabriel Garcia." Gabe said firmly shaking his hand.
"Nice to meet you, kid. Have a seat. Oi! Charlie you can set your rifle down now, Gabriel here is our guest." Travis said to Charlie who Gabe looked at for the first time before he sat down.He was a man, maybe in his forties with a lot of black facial hair. He lowered his gun, "If you say so." He said gruffly.
"Wait did you say 'Garcia'?" Mason asked, he had picked up Gabe's bat and was admiring it before he asked the question.
"Yeah. Why?" Gabe said trying to sound confident. If these guys respect me, maybe I could wiggle out of this...."
"Oh shit! Are you related to a Javier Garcia?" Mason asked eagerly.
"Yeah, he's my uncle." Gabe said proudly.
"Javier Garcia? That name sounds familiar." Said Travis frowning.
"He was a pro-baseball player! I had his rookie card! Was he as good as they say?" Mason asked.
