"Gabe!....C'mon Gabe!....We gotta move!" Clementine said,trying to drag Gabe's dazed body out of the line of fire.

Clementine gasped and dropped Gabe, as a bullet went a little over her head. Gabe mind snapped back, "Go! Get to cover!" He told her.

Clementine ran right and hid behind a nearby tree, she looked back worriedly at him. Gabe stumbled left and dived behind a tree as the rifle fired again. He felt a sudden pain in his left leg. "Shit! That was close!" Gabe thought looking at his tore boot and (luckily) only slightly bleeding foot. He checked his arm, there was a blood coming from a graze near his shoulder. He tore off a bit of his shirt and wrapped it around his arm quickly before looking at Clem. She looked at him, her face concerned, "Are you hurt?" She asked.

"I'll be fine. Are you ok?" Gabe asked her.

"Yeah,it's just a scratch....So this guy's rifle sounds close to us, meaning we could probably hit him with a good pistol shot." Clem answered, pulling out her pistol.

Gabe pulled his out too.

"Ok I'll go to the around the right side of my tree and you go around the left of yours. He can only focus on one of us,meaning the other can get a clear shot. But we'll have to shoot quick or someone is gonna get shot!" Clem nodded to him, "You ready?"

"If-If one of us get die, I just want you to know-" Gabe said before Clem interrupted him.

"The only one who's gonna die is that fucking Sniper! On three.....One....Two...."

Gabe took a breath, Clem was trusting him to potentially make a tough shot. If he missed she could die. "She trusts you with her life! Don't fail now!"

"Clem." Gabe said looking seriously at Clementine, "I've got your back."

She nodded, "I know you do,Gabe......Three!" She yelled turning right around the tree.

Gabe spun around left and saw the scope flash. Gabe aimed, and pulled the trigger slightly above the flash. There was multiple gunshots at once and Gabe wasn't sure what was happening. Gabe felt a terrible pain in his knee as a bullet ripped through his leg.

"Agghh! Fuck!" He yelled,falling to his unshot knee.

He saw blood start to pool out of it and his mind felt dizzy. "I'm not passing out this time!" He thought raising his gun to shoot the sniper but he saw the sniper was already dead.

"Gabe!" Clem yelled running up to him and pulling him into a hug.

Gabe hugged her back, it had felt like torture to get here but now that she was safe, now that he had saved her, he would do it a hundred times to feel the emotion he felt as he hugged her once.

"Did you get hit? I saw him shoot at you and I heard you scream. I shot him a-and killed him but I-I thought you m-might of been killed!" Clem said hugging him with all her strength, gentle tears running down her face.

"I'm ok Clem. It's okay." He replied gently, holding her in his arms and an amazing feeling running through his body now that he was with Clementine again.

She pulled away and wiped her face with her arm, a happy smile on her face, "Your leg!" She gasped staring at the blood soaked pants.
