As I reached the bottom of the stairs, all of the boys stopped talking and looked at me with pity. Okay, I get that I was in a traumatic situation yesterday, but that doesn't mean that I want them to pity me. I also took the time to notice that none of them appeared to be shot.
"Good morning, princess," Hyunjin came over and greeted me with a breathtaking smile. "How are you feeling?" I could tell that he was trying to indirectly ask me about last night, but I just wasn't in the mood to talk.
"I'm fine." I gave him a tight smile and went to sit down at the table, he ended up sitting next to me. I could feel him staring so I looked over and met his eyes. "What?" My voice came out soft. It was as if his worried gaze was enough to send me crying again, but I'm stronger than that.
"I'm just worried about you, I know it's still too soon, and I'm not going to force you, but when you're ready to talk, I'll still be here for you, okay?" he grabbed my hand under the table and gave it a gentle squeeze.
I smiled at him and pulled my hand away as Minho set the breakfast down on the table. It was some sort of breakfast casserole thing. Only as the delicious aroma entered my mouth did I realize how hungry I was. Last night, I didn't get to eat much because of what happened, and I also spent most of my time before that talking with Seungmin, Minho, and Jeongin.
I took my first bite and it was amazing! I guess I was enjoying it a little too much as I noticed everyone looking at me.
"What?" I asked with my mouth full.
"Rae, you're uh... moaning?" Chan looked a little embarrassed to say that, and the other boys just kind of coughed to cover up the awkwardness.
I just chuckled as I swallowed my food. "Well yeah. I'm starving because I didn't get to eat much last night and this is fucking amazing!" I took another bite and savoured it in my mouth.
They all chuckled at my response and continued eating. The rest of breakfast was spent in a comfortable silence with the occasional fork hitting a plate, and the occasional moan from me.
Once everyone was done eating, I decided to speak up. "So, Chan, what's the plan for today?"
"Well, I'm glad you asked. Uh, I don't quite know how to say this, but I think you should maybe take a vacation. You can even take Mina, Nuri, and whoever else you want. It's just, because of last night, they now know that you stay here, so they could come back, and I don't want another situation like last night." Chan looked up at me and gave me a tight smile.
"Speaking of last night, who got shot? Woojin, Jeongin, and I all heard gunshots, but none of you are wounded." I looked around the table.
"Oh, that. Well, they drew their guns on us, but never actually hit any of us. Instead, One of the stray bullets hit one of their people in the leg." Changbin spoke up and then looked my way. "We're all okay, Rae. I promise." He smiled at me and I smiled back.
"So are you okay with going on a short vacation? Maybe like 3 days at Jeju Island? I just need to know so I can book everything," Chan spoke as he stood up and started clearing the table.
"Uh, yeah. That'd be nice. Let me just go call the girls." I excused myself and went up to my room to call my friends.
I reached my room, shut my door, then fell onto my comfortable bed as I grabbed my phone. I called Mina and she answered immediately.
"Hey! What's up?"
"Hang on, let me add Nuri because this involves both of you." I added Nuri to the call and as soon as I heard her cheerful voice, I decided to tell them.
"Alright girls, so listen. Chan wants to treat me to a 3 day vacation to Jeju. He said I can bring you guys and anyone else. Nuri, I was thinking you could invite Jaemin, we will be sleeping in different rooms so you don't have to worry about him hearing you sleep talk about him. And Mina? Remember my friend Jisung? Yeah, he's gonna come too. So does that sound like a plan, guys?" I anxiously waited for them to respond. It sure was taking them a while.
"Rae? Mina and I just had a text conversation about this. We are both going. But," oh brother. Here we go. "Only if you have someone to hang out with. We are not going to one of the most romantic places while only two of us have someone to spend time with." I heard a knock and then saw my door open and Hyunjin's head poked around the door. I smiled and motioned him to come sit with me. "How about that friend of Jaemin's? Luka? Lu? Lucas! That was his name. I'm sure he'd be willing to go and spend time with you, he sure seemed interested at the party!" Nuri was sounding excited as she no doubt was hatching a plan to get me together with that Lucas guy.
"Nuri? Calm down hun. I've already got someone picked out to keep me company at Jeju." I giggled as Hyunjin silently pointed to himself and smiled while fist-bumping the air when I nodded a yes.
"What?!" Mina sounded extremely shocked. "Who?! I didn't know you had a crush!"
"Oh my goodness! Mina! Our little baby is growing up! Oh my gosh! Wait, who is it Rae?" Nuri was being her overdramatic self.
"You guys don't know him. He kind of met you the other night, when you guys were drunk," I let out a chuckle. "He's one of Chan's friends."
I heard Nuri giggle. "Ooooohhhh your brother's friend, eh? How does Channy feel about this?"
"Umm, he's actually okay with it and even encouraged it. Can we not talk about this right now?" I rushed my words as my voice squeaked a bit.
"Oh my god! He's with you right now isn't he! OMG OMG OMG! Okay go enjoy yourself with your man! Love you girl! I'll ask Jaemin and let you know. Okay, bye!" and with that, Nuri hung up.
"Mina?" I noticed that she had gotten awful quiet.
"Sorry I'm still trying to process that literally two days ago you were making fun of me with Jisung and what I told you about if you ever got a crush, and now here you are bringing him on vacation! Anyway, that trip to Jeju sounds great! And thanks for helping with Jisung. Alright, I'll see you later, just let me know when we are gonna leave. Bye, Rae!"
She hung up and I shut my phone off then laid down on my back.
"So I'm going to Jeju with you?" Hyunjin propped himself on his elbow as he looked down at me with a smirk.
I blushed from his gaze."I mean, only if you want to, I won't force you or anything." I met his eyes with a small smile.
"I'd love to, princess." he leaned down and kissed my forehead then got up to walk out. My face became a tomato, I'm sure of it. He stopped at my door and turned around. "By the way, dress casual but cute for our not-date tonight! It won't be anything special, I just want you to enjoy yourself." He winked and then left, shutting my door.
I grabbed a pillow and used it to muffle my scream, but I couldn't wipe the smile from my lips as I thought about tonight. It was only 12:45 in the afternoon and we wouldn't be going out until dinner, but I was too excited. I called Jisung to come up and help me choose an outfit for this not-date.
Now that I think about it, the whole reason for a date is to get to know the other person better, so maybe this can be a date. Oh who am I kidding, this is so going to be a date
