Chapter 41

The smell of bacon and something sweet woke me up and as my eyes fluttered open, i was met with a beautiful sight. Hyunjin was still sleeping, and his lips were slightly parted.

I smiled at his sleeping figure and gently pecked his lips before I got out of bed and put on his hoodie that I had basically stolen from him, then left my room and headed to the kitchen.

"Channy!" I saw my brother at the stove and gave him a back hug. He chuckled and turned around in my arms to hug me back.

"Hey, Sun-Rae."

I pulled back and looked up in shock at an equally shocked Chan.

"You haven't called me that in years."

"Yeah, I know. It just sort of, slipped out."

I had to bite my tongue to keep from making a 'that's what she said' joke. "I like it. It always made me smile."

"Well then prepare to hear it more often," he smiled and kissed my head before turning back to the stove.

I hopped up on the counter and stole one of the cooked pieces of bacon before Chan could stop me. He glared at me as I giggled.

"So how'd the mission last night go?"

Chan blew out a breath as he finished the bacon and put it all on paper towels to drain the grease. "It went fine. Some gang called ATZ has been terrorizing this family, and last night they kidnapped the daughter. Thankfully, it had just happened and the family called us. We got her back safely, but it took a little while to locate them. Nobody was hurt severely, but ATZ is gonna wake up with some bruises."

I smiled at my brother in adoration. "I'm so glad that you are the good guys."

"Me too, Sun-Rae." He smiled at me then opened the oven and took out two sheets of croissants, placing them on the counter. He then mixed some some butter and cinnamon together and created a delicious smelling sauce that he drizzled over the croissants. Next, he opened the microwave and took out a huge bowl of scrambled eggs and placed them between the croissants and bacon. Finally, he took out a large bowl of fruit salad and put it at the end.

"Damn, I missed your big breakfasts," I could feel my mouth watering as I took in the sight of the delicious food.

"Ah-Ah," he swatted away my hand as I tried to grab a croissant. "Go wake everyone up while I make some coffee."

I pouted and went to the living room, seeing the same members of Bangtan asleep from last night. I gently woke up Namjoon and asked him to wake the others. After they were all awake, I headed to the stairs.

Being the lazy bum I am, I stood the foot of the stairs and just screamed at the top of my lungs to wake the others up.

A few seconds later, I could hear feet running from upstairs and I soon saw Hyunjin running down the stairs with the baseball bat that I keep in my room. Jisung and Mina we're behind him, and Taehyung and Hoseok begins them.

Hyunjin stopped right in front of me and held my face in his hands as he checked me over. Once the others saw that I was okay, they followed the delicious smell and ended up in the kitchen.

"Princess! Are you okay? I heard you scream and came as fast as I could." He brought me into his chest once he was sure I was okay, and I started giggling. "Why are you laughing?"

"Jinnie, I was just too lazy to go upstairs. Nothing's wrong, but breakfast is ready." I gave him an innocent smile as I pulled away and watched his face change from a worried expression into a playful glare.

"You had me worried sick! I thought something actually happened. Now I have to go get dressed before we all eat." He started walking back to the stairs before I stopped him.

"Jinnie, here." I took off his hoodie leaving me in a big T-shirt and shorts and handed it to him.

"Isn't this mine? I've been looking for this for a few days!"

"I stole it, so it's mine.I'll allow you to use it, but I expect it back, washed and smelling like you." I pointed at his face as he just smiled at me and chuckled as he pulled it over his head.

"Okay, okay. Let's eat, I'm starving." He grabbed my hand and we walked into the kitchen where everyone else was waiting.

"Good, now that everyone's here, Mina and Rae, you two go first." Chan stepped aside and let Mina and I be first through the line for food.

After everyone had a plate, we decided to sit on the living room because there were more seats there. We all ate together, and it felt like one big family. Jungkook and Felix were talking about some game called Fortnite, while Woojin, Jin, Namjoon, and Chan talked about how difficult their two gangs were to take care of. Minho, Yoongi, and Changbin all sat together in silence which was actually kind of creepy. Jisung and Hoseok had found a common interest in rapping, and they were talking about writing a rap together. Taehyung day next to Me, Hyunjin, and Mina and we all talked together. Jimin, Jeongin, and Seungmin were also talking in a small group.

I looked around and smiled seeing everyone enjoying themselves. I leaned back into Hyunjin's chest and just enjoyed the moment. Everything was perfect.
