Chapter 20

As the lights of the restaurant dimmed, Jaemin got up and went to the front where there was a stage. He grabbed the microphone and a spotlight was on him. Nuri watched him walk up there and boy was she confused, she looked so adorable!

Once Jaemin reaches the front, she gasped and we all turned to listen to him.

"Kim Nuri, ever since the first day I saw you in the hallway at school, I knew that you were different. I think I noticed you before you noticed me, I always got a little flustered when you came around. Eventually, I started talking to you and found it extremely adorable how you would always freeze up when I was around. My confidence in talking to you has grown dramatically in the last few months and as I've gotten to know you, I realize how much I like you. When I talk to you, my day gets a million times better. Your smile brightens any room you walk into, and just being around you makes me warm and fuzzy on the inside. I guess what I'm trying to say," by this time, Jaemin has made his way to our table and was standing in front of Nuri while he held one of her hands. "Kim Nuri, would you please do me the honor of becoming my girlfriend?"

The entire restaurant went quiet as we waited for Nuri's response.

I guess she was too shocked because she wasn't saying anything. She finally nodded as she stood up and hugged him as the entire restaurant erupted into applause. Romantic music started playing from the live quartet on the stage and the lights came back on, but the restaurant was still dimly lit.

"Oh my god, I'm crying," Nuri laughed as she pulled away from Jaemin and wiped under her eyes carefully so she wouldn't smudge her makeup.

"Congratulations, guys!" I smiled as I got up to hug my two friends.

The rest of the group congratulated them, and our dinner was served. Conversation filled our table as we all ate, and soon, Hyunjin paid with Chan's card, and we left to the lobby.

"So, Nuri, I was wondering if you'd like to go on a walk? It's a beautiful night, and I'd love to spend some time with my girlfriend!" Jaemin smiled as he saw Nuri blush deeply.

The rest of us chuckled at Nuri's face as she shyly agreed. We told them to be back by 10 o'clock and wished them a good time. After they left the lobby, Jisung, Mina, Hyunjin, and I headed back to our rooms. As Mina and I changed back into our comfortable sweatpants and hoodies, we jumped on our beds and began laughing.

"Nuri has a boyfriend! And it's Na Jaemin! Ahh!" Mina yelled in excitement.

I just giggled at her excitement as I heard someone knock at the door. Not wanting to get up, I rolled myself off of the bed, forgetting how high it was off the ground. I fell on my back with a thud and just groaned as I sat up and walked to the door. As I opened the door, I saw Jisung standing there looking very nervous.

"Hey, uh. Is Mina awake?" He was blushing and wouldn't look me in the eyes. This boy!

"Mhmm," I smirked at him as I waited to hear what he wanted.

"Uh, could I come in? I wanted to spend some time with her." He scratched the back of his neck and still wouldn't look at me.

"Sure," I stepped aside as I let him in, then shut the door as I stepped into the hallway leaving them in the room for some alone time. I made my way to the boys' door and knocked.

The door swung open and Hyunjin stood there in a black T-shirt and some grey sweatpants. "Princess?"

"Hey, Jisung came to our room to spend time with Mina, and I didn't want to third wheel. So move over I'm coming in." I entered his room as he stepped aside and ran to jump on his big bed.

"So what are we gonna do?" Hyunjin looked at me confused as he sat down on the edge of his bed.

I shrugged my shoulders. "Where's the remote? We could find a movie or something."

Hyunjin passed me the remote and I flipped through the channels until I found "The Fault In Our Stars" playing. I'm a sucker for sad movies, and it was still the beginning, so of course I'm gonna make Hyunjin sit through this with me.

"Seriously? Aren't you going to cry at this?" Hyunjin moved to the back of the bed next to me as he questioned my choice of movie.

"Well, of course. It's a sad romantic movie, and something romantic just happened in one of my best friend's lives. I'm in my feels." I leaned over and placed my head on his shoulder as he put his arm around me and my head moved to being on his chest as I wrapped my arms around his waist.

"Okay, but you better not use me as your tissues, princess."

"No promises, Jinnie." I giggled as he just chuckled and shook his head.

"Oh my gosh, I can't believe he wrote her a letter! He knew he was about to die, but he didn't tell her! What a jerk! But still the letter, it was sweet." I smiled as I heard Hyunjin rant about the movie ending. My eyes were closed, so I think that he thought I was asleep.

"You didn't cry did you?" He jumped a little when I spoke. "Oh yeah, surprise, I'm awake." I giggled as I moved to sit up.

"No I didn't cry. It was that sad for me. How about you, princess? How many times did you cry?"

"Only about 3 or 4. I've seen this movie so many times but it always gets me." I let my body fall over and I was now laying in his lap looking up at him. His hand found its way into my hair and I closed my eyes as he played with it. His other arm rested on my stomach.

My phone suddenly buzzed and as I checked it, I got a little worried. It was 10:30. Nuri and Jaemin should be back.

"Hyunjin? Shouldn't Nuri and Jaemin be back?" I showed him the time.

"Maybe they're in your room with Mina and Jisung. Why don't we go check?" We got out of the warm bed and he grabbed his room key as we made our way across the hall. I knocked on the door since I forgot my key earlier.

It opened to reveal Mina and Jisung. No Jaemin or Nuri.

"Have you guys heard from Nuri or Jaemin? It's 10:30 and they aren't back yet." I was beginning to get worried.

"No, we thought they were in the other room, we were just about to check too." Mina gave me a worried look.

I looked over to Hyunjin to see him already on the phone, probably with Woojin. Jisung said he'd call Jaemin and see if they were okay. Mina and I were left alone.

"Rae, I don't have a good feeling about this." She looked up at me with glistening eyes.

"Me either," I pulled her into a hug and we both worried about our friend.

Suddenly we heard banging from the hallway, I opened the door and found Jaemin panting.

"Nuri," he took a huge breath, "she's gone!"
