God brought us together

Date at 4

Hannah was the one that made me over and I am so greatful for what she did. I hear the knock on my door while I am uploading a picture of my outfit to Instagram.

"Coming" I yell. I drop my phone into my sided bag and head for the door. John sees me and his jaw wants to drop. I smiled mentally.

Analyzing his outfit, I knew from there on that he knew how to dress. I let him enter my apartment.

"So shall we?" He asked. I immediately rushed over to my room, sprayed on some perfume and added some finishing touches to my hair. I checked myself one last time. Everything looked good to me.

"So where are we going?" I asked once we finished singing to 'Speak Life' by Toby Mac. "You'll see". He just kept on driving until we stopped in a woods looking place. "Here?"I asked. He got out a picnic basket from the trunk. I followed him as we sat down, in front of a clear blue lake. Wow! I admired the surrounding. The flowers were perfect. The wind was at the right speed. Everything looked beautiful.

"Shall we pray?" I asked. He nodded, willingly.
"Our heavenly father, we thank you for this magnificent day. We thank you for today, this date, this loveliness. We thank you for bringing us together. We cover this food in your blood. In Jesus name" We both shouted Amen.

"Isn't this beautiful? Look at God's nature" He stated. I smiled at everything. "Thank you for this." I bit into a hotdog. John went all out here. He brought fruit kabobs, chilled apple juice, apples, oreo cookies, big size Lays original. Everything.
"I know I went overboard but I wasn't sure what to bring". He drank some juice.

We talked for hours until we realized that it was already 7pm. The sun was in its sunset mode. Then me and John made eye contact. When we both found out that it was silent, we started packing the things, nervously.

"So was this good?" John asked, hoping to get a yes. I nodded staring out the window.

The car ride home was silent except the gospel music singing Oceans through the vehicle. When John was parked at my apartment complex, he studied me hard. I had butterflies in my tummy. I just wanted to sleep. "Liv?" He asked me as I was about to open the car door. "Yeah?" I turned my face towards to be returned with a look of uncertainty.

"This may come out as a shock to you but will you go out with me?" He asked. I just sat there, looking at him in bewilderment. "I'll give you time to think about it" he added, which brought me out from my trance. "Yeah, I'll think about it". I bolted into my apartment and flopped on my bed.
