The same night...
Noonie sighed as she pushed open her apartment door.
It was going on twelve in the morning and Noonie was just now getting home from Ryan's, ready to fall asleep.
However, as soon as she opened the door, a terrible stench caught her nose.
"Ahh!" Noonie screamed, dropping her purse out of her hands and slipping out of her apartment, digging through her pockets for her phone.
Kaid's head shot up as he heard his phone ringing, hitting his head on the shelf of candles in front of him.
"Fuck" He groaned, rubbing where he hit his head, crawling out of his closet to get his phone.
Since his fight with China, she hadn't been back to the house and Kaid wasn't trying to watch movies with Sergio all night if he wasn't up to it.
Finally, Kaid dragged his phone off of his dresser, placing it at his ear and plopping onto his bed.
"Kaid? I've been calling you almost all day there's another box here...it's open already and it's-it's dead rats, one of them has my name on it, there are rats all over my house!"
"Noonie?"
"Did you not hear anything I just said! Get over here!" She shouted before mashing the red button, ending the call.

"I am so sorry" Xio jogged up the couple of stairs that led to her neighbors front door, digging in her purse for a few bills.
She was cold due to the skimpy uniform she was required to wear and smelled of weed and alcohol due to the contents she served. Her hair was down, clip ins made it look longer than it actually was and fake long eyelashes decorated her eyes. Xiomara couldn't wait to take everything off and out when she went home and finally feel like herself.
"Look I usually don't make a fuss over these things but it's midnight Xiomara" Nancy, Xiomara's neighbor complained. She was the Auntie of the neighborhood, she took care of any and everybody that went to her for help and her house was almost like the community center from sun up, to sundown.
"I know" Xio sighed, rubbing her cold hands together before handing Nancy three twenty dollar bills, slipping a sleeping Anastacia from out of her arms. Because of her new demanding job, Xiomara could almost never pick up her daughter from school on time, however, in her mind, it was worth it.
She had enough to pay the whole water bill on time and was working towards saving enough after bills to get Ana the shoes she wanted and maybe even a new book.
"Put that up child" Nancy sighed. "I have some soup and grilled cheese on the stove, why don't you come in and get something to eat"
"No thank you, Nana, in all honesty, I just want to shower and go to bed"
"Well then you do that sweetie I'll see you" Nancy smiled, waving Xiomara goodbye before closing the door, watching Xiomara walk across the street to her home through the peephole to make sure she was safe.
As soon as Xiomara got home, she put her daughter in the bed, soaked in a bath and escaped to her room where her work bag sat.
Her wet spirals spilled across her face as she ripped the Velcro on her bag, spilling dollar bills onto the bed while biting her nails.
