I noticed Alan sitting by  the fountain with a book between his smooth hands. His face cringed as he read every word of whatever he was reading. There was no one outside school, everyone was inside so I tiptoed behind him and wrapped my arms around his body.

"Hey" I smiled warmly.

"Hey beautiful" he smiled back. I absentmindedly tightened my grip around him at his beautiful smile.

I planted a short kiss to his lips and nudged my head towards the book. "What you got there?"

"A book Jill forced me to read" he rolled his blue eyes. "It's pure shit, we all know I hate romantic books. They make me want to kill myself" I giggled at what he just said.

I turned my head to a pissed off Jill walking angrily towards us with a hard grip on her phone. "Rumor alert"

You can't be kidding me. "What's today's hot topic? I'm dying to know" I sarcastically remarked.

"I swear Natalie is just obsessed with your life" she handed over her black iPhone. Alan and I saw a picture of Zachary gripping my jaw while we smiled. I felt the anger boil in me. Why are people so stupid!

"Alan this is stupid I was threatening him yesterday" I briefly explained.

"I know you wouldn't do anything" he sighed. Poor guy, my heart ached every time a tiny misunderstanding was the talk of the day. He would be happy at first, but then when he finds out about the ridiculous rumors, he wouldn't smile for the rest of the day.

"I'll leave you two alone. I have class anyways" I got up and gave Jill a tight hug before she left to her class.

I crouched down in front of Alan and took his face frowning between my small hands. "I would never do anything to purposely hurt you. The part about threatening Zach was real, and you could easily tell that wasn't a real smile"

"I know I'm just devastated, when will it be the time where that bitch leaves us alone?" he huffed.

"Just this year, then we'll attend the same college together. We graduate together. We'll have our own house. We can also find Jill someone, that girl needs a break from the single life" we both lightly laughed at the last statement. "But remember this, there will be no more Natalie, no more Denise. No one can break us apart. I love you baby"

He chuckled adorably "Shouldn't I be the one telling you this?"

"Well I guess I'm the man of our relationship" I teased.

"And I'm the girl?" he scoffed and held out his palm. "Give yourself a break"

"Hey, if we don't have much schoolwork to do, how about we do a little picnic on the hill. We can invite Jill" I suggested.

"And since I don't really like staying between girls, unless it was you, it would be nice to invite guys that are mature. I don't need to hear you two talk about chick flicks and nonsense like that" he smirked.

"Chick flick? You just insulted my intelligence. That's the last thing I'd ever talk about, chick flick though? Damn." I shook my head in disapproval.

"Since Nathan and Ian would die to tag along, I'll invite them" Alan was right about one thing; they would actually love to ride on my tail. I swear there is nothing I have for them to be so attached. They're like little huskies waiting for their owner to give them a treat. So childish and lighthearted. And cocky...

"No no, I think you're dying to take them anywhere you go" I teased.

"The fuck, no" he defended. "They're just cool and I don't want to spend my day with girlies"
