34. Excuse Me???

I really can't believe these little bitches brought this shit up to my job. A job that I just got might I add. How fucking selfish could you possibly be? I finally have something going for me that I did on my own and now it's like everyone is out to ruin it for me. I rolled my eyes just thinking about having this conversation with 'those' people. I went to the back and clocked out for my lunch early.

"Ant told me that your family is here. If you need us, just say the word mama," said Jax. I really love how they are already down for me when they know I need all the support I can get.

"Thanks babe. I got this but I will definitely keep that in mind cause I might have to fight my parents too girl," I said to her.

"Girl bye. Go handle your business," she said laughing. I headed back out to the front and walked right passed them to the food court. Ant gave me $20 to buy some food so I got some Chinese food and sat down. They can sit and talk if they want to but I really don't have anything to say to any of them at the point. They even brought my grandmother. That just goes to show you that can't nobody handle what I got to give out.

"So you just walked right past us, didn't say nothing and now you still not speaking?" asked my mother. Lord if you really love me, please don't let me say nothing reckless to these people because they are still my parents and my elders. The last thing we need is a fight to go down at my place of work.

"What is there to say? I'm at work. Couldn't this have waited until when I got off?" I said.

"Where did you even get the money from to pay for your food anyways cause I know you haven't gotten paid yet," said my father.

"Her boyfriend probably gave it to her since he feels sorry for her," said one of the twins. I even forgot their names that's how done I am with them.

"Do I know you? I don't so stop sticking your nose in my business and find you some. You're just mad because ya'll are just a waste of space. Ya'll really should've been swallowed," I said while still eating my lo mein. Everyone just looked at me with pure and utter disgust.

"You apologize to them right now," said my dad. "That boy has got you acting so fucking disrespectful but when you get your ass beat, he's not gonna be no where to save your little ass." Ooop. He mad mad. I'm just laughing internally.

"And that stunt ya'll pulled at the school today by fighting Aiden. We had to go to his house to apologize to him and his family. What the hell is wrong with you?" asked my mom.

"Aiden got what he deserves, so did your two sons. I was defending myself since everyone wanted to gang up on me and disrespect me like I'm this weak little girl. If you guys feel some type of way, then I don't know what to tell you except that I'm not sorry about anything that I did today."

"Nap fout bat ou jodi a (We are gonna beat your ass today)," said my grandmother.

"For what?" I asked.

"Don't act dumb now. You know for what. Now go get your stuff so we can leave," said my mother.

"Not to be rude but I'm sorry to inform you that I'm not leaving. When I signed up for this job, I made a commitment to work and be here. That's not fair to my boss or my co-workers who would have to pick up my slack because of something you guys are upset about," I said to them.

"You know what. That's fine. When you get off of work I want you to pack up all of your shit and get out of our house. Your grandmother's house too," said my mom.

"Now Kodi. I think that's going too far," said my grandmother. Now you wanna fucking stick up for me. Fuck outta here with that dumb shit.

"No mom. Let her be grown but she's not gonna do it in our house," said my father. Of course these two idiots sitting their giggling like this is funny. It's cool though cause I'm good off them.

"Now let's see where you gonna stay since you wanna be grown. You won't make it out here by yourself," said my mother.

"Okay. Are we done here or nah? Don't even worry about my clothes. You can do what you want with them since you guys bought them and don't worry about me. I turn 18 in a couple of weeks so I'll be a legal adult. I will be just fine because I know my boyfriend's family is real welcoming so I have someplace to stay at," I said to them. They just looked at me in shock. I guess they thought I was gonna get on my knees and beg them for forgiveness but fuck them. I'm gonna have all of them looking real fucking stupid when I shit on them.

"You guys enjoy your life without me in it cause I know I will be missed. Grandmother, I will be by after work to get my stuff and I will make sure to leave your key under the mat." I got up and threw my trash away and went back to work. If nobody else got me, I know that God got me and I'm happy with that. I will make it on my own and I will come out on top no matter who doesn't believe in me. Middle fingers up, tell those niggas bye.
