I'm finally back with a new part, enjoy reading it ;)

"And what about you? You're married now. You're not children anymore for you to fool around like that! Damn! Now I want to see you at any cost. Pack a bag, I'll be coming to get you next morning and I won't accept a no." Shashi said and Surbhi nodded before realizing that her mom wasn't with her.

"Yes mom." Surbhi answered like an obedient child before hanging up. She left her room and saw that Nakuul was switching off his phone. As he saw her approaching, he put the food out of the bag.

"Padma just called me. The producer asked us to have a kind of date at a restaurant, tomorrow night." Nakuul said. "As a consequence, I can't come to pick you up at the University, maybe you can ask Shrenu or Mansi to take you home?" Nakuul added. Surbhi quickly looked down before staring at him.

"I'm not going to the University tomorrow.. Mom is coming to pick me up tomorrow morning. I don't know how long I'll be gone, a day or a week, I don't know, but she wants to see me.. Actually, she read an article about you and your co-worker, so she now knows that you'll be dating her."

"Not dating her, but fake dating her." He corrected her but she rolled her eyes.

"Truth be told Nakuul, no matter if the relationship is fake or not, it still exists. Anyways, I'm hungry, and it will be a long drive until my parents' home. Let's just eat, and go to bed, shall we?!" Surbhi said and sat down to eat. She knew herself and she just knew that right now, at the moment where they were eating together, she wanted to shout at him, tell him that she wasn't alright! She wanted to plead him to stop that masquerade but she didn't say a word. She just chewed her food, expecting him to change his mind on his own when he would realize that he was about to lose her.

After they had eaten, in complete silence, she had lost the will to watch a movie, so she got up, muttered something likely to 'I'm sleepy' and went to bed. She let herself fall on the bed and just looked at the ceiling. Growing up was hard. She missed their life as teenagers, she missed these long days spent by looking at each other into the eyes, because now she couldn't even gaze at him without reproach in her eyes, she hated him for what he was putting them through and she was so irked that he wasn't even noticing it. His mind was blinded by fame. Surbhi turned the wedding ring around her finger while humming Tabaah ho gaye (AN: I just love that song from Kalank!!). The lyrics were matching with her emotional state and when she was over with the song, she kissed the ring and turned on her side to sleep. However, she was unaware of a listener hiding behind the door. Nakuul had heard her and it was paining like hell to know that he was responsible of her state but his thirst for fame was stronger and overpowered the guilt he could have had by seeing his love suffering because of his choices.

Later that night, when it was already past midnight, Nakuul decided to join her to sleep. He had spent the three past hours watching their wedding pictures on his laptop while holding the contract with Five Tigers in his hand. He didn't know what to do... the next day, he had a date with Padma and he really didn't know if he was ready for it. But then refusing the date would be like digging his own tombstone. Even though he wanted to do things right, he was now chained with the contract. He could look for a breach but the best solution would be to just abandon his career even before its beginning and he was just not ready to accept such a defeat.

The morning after, Surbhi was the first one to wake up, she felt his arms around her and carefully slipped out of his arms. She took a bath and prepared a little something to eat. After that, she prepared her bag and waited for her mom's call. While she was putting her clothes in her bag, Nakuul woke up and pecked her on the cheek. She accepted his kiss because she just missed his touch.

"When will you come back?" He asked with cute puppy eyes and she just shrugged her shoulders.

"I don't know, when mom will let me. All I know is that I'll be here next week since my exams are starting." She said and was about to go since her mom had just messaged her, telling her that she had just arrived.

"Surbhi wait!" Nakuul said and grabbed her wrist. "I love you." He simply said.

"I love you too." She whispered and kissed his cheek. "Bye Nakuul."

"Bye Surbhi." He answered and she left. He looked at the window and saw her being engulfed in a hug by her mother and then she just left like that. A tear slid down his cheek because he knew that it would take them a lot of efforts to overcome this issue.
