The Fame Changed You - A Narbhi Story - Complete

I'm sorry for not updating earlier, I was sick so I couldn't really concentrate on writing these last few days. For those reading my book of OS I've started writing the next one, I think I'd be able to write it all for at least next week.

The dinner was ready and Surbhi joined her two favourites men to eat. She sat between Nakuul and Avinash. While the couple had wanted to eat silently, Avinash was against it, he thought that talking was the best way to recreate the alchemy between them.

"Hey guys, when looking at you I can't help but remember Mr. Saxena our science teacher in eleventh standard." Avinash said and Nakuul immediately looked down in his plate while Surbhi looked at Avinash, furrowing her brows.

"And why so Mr. Khurrana?" She asked.

"You were never here, I mean if you were bunking school, it was always for his classes!" Avinash said.

"That's not true! We didn't go like three or four times that's all!" Nakuul said then shoved some lasagna in his mouth.

"And what were you two doing during your moments out of class?" Avinash inquired and took a sip of red wine.

"We were making out!" Surbhi said before putting her hand on her mouth in shock. Even a little bit of alcohol was making her mouth work faster than her brain.

"Oyee Nakuul! You must have ruined her lipstick so many times!" Avinash said and they both blushed. They looked at each other and she put a finger between her teeth before looking down with a little smile on her lips.

"Let's change the topic then. Any family planning?" Avinash asked.

"We didn't think about it yet!" Surbhi answered.

"But would you consider having a family?" Avinash asked and watched the intense eye lock they were having.

"At the moment Surbhi is my family but sure if a little soul joins us I will be happy as well." Nakuul said and put his hand on her thigh before squeezing it softly.

"Can we just imagine Surbhi as a mom? I think that you'll have to do piggyback not only for the child but the mother as well!"

"Have you planned to tease me all night long, Avi?" Surbhi scoffed.

"Honey, you have to admit that sometimes you can be childish!" Nakuul said taking Avinash' side.

"So you're teaming up with Avi now?! Let my daughter or son come you'll see how he or she will be on my side!" Surbhi pouted and Nakuul took her hand in his and she shivered on feeling his rough palm on her soft one.

"Why don't we have both? A boy and a girl so one would be in your team and the other one in mine.." He suggested.

"Done." She said and squeezed his hand as if to seal the deal. Avinash looked at them and smiled. He was happy to see his best friend Surbhi being so natural around Nakuul despite their argument.

"Guys I need to make an important call, is it okay for you if I let you clean the dishes?" Avinash suddenly asked and Surbhi and Nakuul who were dreaming about their future children got out of their reverie.

"Don't worry Avi, we'll handle it. Moreover you're a guest here." Surbhi said and Avinash gasped.

"I can't believe that you my Surbhi baby, you're calling your Avi dolly a guest! I'm shocked!" He said and Surbhi chuckled.

"That was my golden moment to tease you babe!" She winked at him and got up to clean the table with Nakuul while Avinash went back to his room. Hearing Avinash calling Surbhi 'baby' and hearing her calling Avinash 'babe' was reviving the flame of jealousy which Nakuul had had managed to tame during that dinner. He didn't know why now more than ever he wanted to throttle the poor Avinash to death. While Avinash disappeared in his room, the couple began washing the dishes. They were silently washing them when Surbhi accidentally poured water on Nakuul's shirt.

"Sorry..." She said with puppy eyes.

"No worries!" He answered and emptied a bowl of water on her head. "Sorry!" He smirked and she groaned before cleaning her hands, which were covered with soap scum, on his shirt.

"Sorry?" She asked with a grin.

"Oh, you can be...", he paused, "For not running away!" He added and they began having a water fight which ended with the kitchen being a complete mess and them being really close to each other. Before they knew it, they were devouring each other through a long romantic kiss.

Avinash who had finished his talk, came back to ask if they needed help but when he saw them kissing, he just turned around and left. At the same time, Surbhi parted from Nakuul and pecked his lips one last time before stepping back. She had loved every aspect of the kiss but wasn't it too early since they were still working on rebuilding their love? Sensing the awkwardness peeping in between them, Nakuul rushed his hand through his hair.

"Huh... I think you should go finish studying for your exams and I will clean the kitchen." He said and she hummed, before leaving to their room. When she was alone in their room, she fingered her lips and blushed. She felt as if they were having their first kiss all over again. She was on cloud nine and her studying was long forgotten. Anyways, she hadn't spent a day without studying, she could spend the next two hours rejoicing their closeness before going to sleep. She headed to the bathroom where she did her private concert, singing 'Happy' under the shower. Even when she was drying her hair, she couldn't suppress her smile. She just got out of her lalaland when she got a message from Shrenu asking if she was doing great and if they would have lunch together the day after. Surbhi answered her yes to the two question and braided her hair to sleep. When she got under the blanket, Nakuul made his entry in their room. He went to take his shower and joined her under the blankets. She felt him tossing around repeatedly before he just held her waist and spooned her. She was delighted to see him bothered by not holding her to sleep and she put her hand over his, letting him know that she was okay with him hugging her to sleep. No words were needed and they drifted to sleep.

Next morning, the couple woke up and got ready for the day. Nakuul had a meeting with Afreen and Padma early in the morning. He would have let Surbhi go on her own to the University, but when Avinash said that he could drop her to the University, he changed his mind straight away and decided to drop her to the University himself. Surbhi was rejoicing on seeing his jealousy but she kept a neutral face. When they reached, he wanted to kiss her but thought against it. He didn't want to be caught in an intimate position when he hadn't dealt with Padma's problem yet. However, when she was about to go, he held her hand.

"I wish you good luck, honey. I know you and I know that you'd be crushing them all!" He said and she giggled.

"Thank you for your support Noxie!" Surbhi answered, smiled warmly at him and left. As soon as she joined Shrenu, Nakuul started the car and went to meet Afreen and Padma. When he arrived there, he saw that both women were already waiting for him.

"Finally you're here!" Afreen said with sarcasm.

"Sorry I had to drop my wife at the University first." He simply said.

"Because you're her personal chauffeur now?" Padma chuckled.

"And what's wrong with that, huh? I could drive her to the end of the world if she asked me. So your comments about what I do with my wife are unnecessary!" Nakuul said. "Anyways, you wanted to talk about this fake dating thing so what did you want to say?" Nakuul decided to focus on Afreen.

"Well, I think that you two shall move in together, yeah?" Afreen answered nonchalantly.

"What? No way! I won't do that, and I don't even want to keep fake dating Padma!"

"Come on, do you want the role or not?" Afreen said and Nakuul rubbed his eyes.

"No I don't want it, not at my wife's cost. You change your way of doing publicity for your show because I won't be a part of this fake dating drama... Not anymore." Nakuul was about to go, but Padma held his hand.

"But you signed a contract!" She said.

"Then sue me! I prefer you suing me than my wife leaving me. Now if you have nothing to add, I'm leaving. I have some stuff to do."
