The sound of the waves was  blasting in their ears as he waited for her answer. She looked down and took a deep breath.

"Nakuul... I..." She began before looking at the sky.

"I don't think that I can go on with this... with us..." She stuttered.

"What do you mean? I thought that we were in this together.." Something in him broke when he heard her.

"We were in this together?That's a good joke! We stopped being in this together when you decided to put our love in brackets for your job! I know that was your dream, I had dreams too and I can assure you that I would do everything to keep our love intact. I would never sacrifice our love for something...something so material. And you sold our relationship for a damn role! What do you want to fix? You signed a fucking contract! You already sold our relationship to that devil!" Surbhi was about to leave but he held her hand.

"Wait, please, don't go..." He begged her and she wiped her tears before facing him. He wiped the tears she didn't wipe while letting his own roll down his cheeks.

"I know that I've messed up but you can't tell that you're perfect, you do mistakes too..." Surbhi put his hands down and looked at him before moving her head left and right.

"I know that I do mistakes, one of them being you! You've become selfish! Today you're sorry because you saw me with Avi! If it wasn't for that, you wouldn't have come with your tail between your legs asking for forgiveness. You want me to stay right? Show me that you care! Show me that you love me, because right now I don't even believe your love." Surbhi said and ran away.

She went back home and locked herself in her room. She burst into tears but tried to remain as quiet as possible. She didn't want to bother her parents. She had done this on purpose but it still hurt. She wasn't the one to play with their love like that but she needed him to see how painful it was to have your lover put everything before you. She wanted to see if he cared, if he would come back for her. Surbhi wiped her tears after a while then breathed in and breathed out deeply several times.

"I need to be strong! I can't weaken when our love is in danger. No I won't cry. I gave him an ultimatum he needs to be the smart one now. If he wants an us then he'll work for it. I'm tired of being the one sacrificing my life for him without him doing nothing for me in return, love is equality, it's about giving and taking. I gave whatever I had, it's time for him to do the same...." Surbhi looked at herself in her mirror, let a smile appear on her lips, then she went to the bathroom to clean her face. She then left the bathroom and was surprised to hear his voice. He was talking to her parents and she decided to eavesdrop their conversation.

"I did very wrong with Surbhi and I completely agree with you if you ever want to punch me or hit me or whatever. But I simply have one request, let me rectify my mistake, mom and dad. I messed up but I want to fix things between us. I would accept every loss but I will never accept losing her, at least without fighting. I just need one chance, one more chance to prove my love towards Surbhi. If this doesn't work out, I promise I'll walk away... I'll walk away from her life and I'll let her be happy." Nakuul said and Surbhi just looked on as she saw his eyes glistening with tears. She was surprised with his resolution and knew her parents well enough to know that they would let him talk to her because they were simply the kind of people to think that divorce wasn't the best solution, so Surbhi decided to go back to her room. A few minutes later, she heard a knock and took a deep breath before going to open the door. It was obviously her dear husband.

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"Trying to fix things between my wife and I.." He said nonchalantly and Surbhi rolled her eyes. She was about to close the door when he stopped her.

"Wait! Just tell me that you don't love me anymore, tell me that I won't have another chance with you and I promise that I'll let you go!" Nakuul said and she looked away.

"It's not like that..." She trailed off.

"I hurt you I know, let me a chance to fix your trust or whatever I broke between us. Just give me a chance to fix things Surbhi. Let me change the vision you currently have of me. Let me become your blessing instead of your mistake... please.." He pleaded and joined his palms in front of her.

"I want him at any cost and you know very well that your TV show won't reach heights if my father stops providing you the money, Afreen." A woman said while she was playing with a pen.

"You're already pushing my boundaries and you know that very well. I would have never disturbed his marital life if it wasn't for your tantrums." Afreen said and sighed heavily. "I can't do that anymore. Nakuul Mehta is very talented, he didn't deserve that dilemma."

"You should have thought twice before buying drugs without being able to pay for it. Now my dad is even providing you money which you're supposed to give him back in the first place. So just shut up! I want you to tell Nakuul that to do more publicity I have to live with him. His wife has been nowhere to be seen for the past three days except for the news about her and the producer, I'll be closer to him if I live with him, and her, well she can keep shagging that pathetic producer.
