That morning was difficult for the couple. While Nakuul got up with a pang in his heart, and was ready to go to his in-law's home, Surbhi didn't even want to leave her bed. She only got up because she didn't want her parents to be more worried than they were already. As she was sitting on her bed, she suddenly felt the need to empty her stomach and ran to the toilets. After she was finished, she cleaned her mouth and lazily took a hot shower to relax her nerves. She put a cute onesie on and left her bedroom,

that day she just wanted to stay with her parents at home and watch movies, they would all fall asleep on the couch like they used to when she was younger.
She joined her parents who were already about to have breakfast and she was once again shocked to find Avinash sitting with them.
"I'm 100% sure now that you're an alien! How come you're here so early? Only an alien can be up that early!" Surbhi tried to make a joke before she literally let her body fall on her seat. Avinash noticed the bags under her eyes, just like her parents did and he was worried for her.
"Sorry to come and disturb your morning milady!" Avinash winked and she just rolled her eyes.
"Whatever Avi!" Surbhi sighed.
"Anyways, I wanted to tell you that I tried contacting the people who spread this rumour about us. From now I didn't manage to but don't worry, I'm working on it." Avinash reassured her and she smiled warmly at him.
"Don't worry Avi, we both know the truth and yeah it doesn't matter, I don't care." Surbhi said and Avinash hummed.
"I don't want my beautiful face to be spoiled by Nox's punch! How will Shashi love me like that!" Avinash whined and Surbhi and her parents just chuckled.
"Don't worry, Nakuul won't beat you, I assure you that.." Surbhi smiled at him and squeezed his palm. They were having their breakfast, listening to Avinash telling about his life in London when they were disturbed by the doorbell.
"You guys carry on, I'll go open the door." Avinash declared and went to the front door. When he opened it he was happy to see Nakuul standing there, but he didn't notice his red bloodshot eyes. However, he did notice that, Nakuul too had bags under his eyes.
"Noxie! It's a pleasure to see you dude!" Avinash took Nakuul into his arms, not taking into consideration his stern face.
"Come in!" Avinash said and moved aside to let Nakuul in. Nakuul walked inside and the duo joined the family at the dining table.
"Good morning everyone." Surbhi, whose back was facing the entry to the dining room felt shivers on her arms as she heard his voice. Rajeev didn't appear like an enraged father simply because his long talk with his daughter also made him understand that she didn't need her father to bring trouble in her already messed up life. He had always known that a problem in a couple would always have to stay between the couple. Shashi who saw her husband and daughter having a battle with their inner self, just got up and went to Nakuul.
"What a surprise to see you here Nakuul! Come take a seat, have something, you must be tired after such a journey, you can also rest in Surbhi's room afterwards." Shashi talked a bit quicker as usual, showing that she was nervous. Her husband had told her how they should remain neutral in the conflict between Nakuul and Surbhi but she didn't how neutral she could be when the man standing before her was responsible for her daughter's happiness but also her sadness.
While all the family was having their inner battle, Nakuul went to Surbhi and kissed her on her cheek. The latter got out of her daydream and blushed involuntarily. Nakuul then took a seat at her right while Avinash took his seat at her left side. The laughter disappeared and they ate silently. After breakfast, Nakuul asked Surbhi if they could go out and talk and she halfheartedly accepted. They went for a walk to the sea shore as usual, he hadn't talked for minutes and neither did she. He didn't know where to start, and a lump in his throat was preventing the words from leaving his mouth. Suddenly, as if taken by some inner force, he decided to speak up, "I don't want to lose you Surbhi..." He paused, both in his speech and walk, to look at the sea. "I know that a sorry can't change what I've done but I think it's a good beginning. I'm sorry Surbhi, for all the pain I put you through when I promised to only fill your life with happiness. The stupid man that I was! I was afraid that you'd leave me, but here I am pushing you away from me, for my dream job. You were right, our story is the reality, our love is reality. I need to work harder to get to my dream.. I want to be an actor but I don't want to go on in my life without you, Surbhi, please give me a chance to correct my mistake..."
