Angel giggled, and kissed Alastor's cheek gently. The night at the gay club was going well. Alastor felt out of place, being bisexual and all that, but Angel looked so happy it was worth dragging his lazy behind out of the hotel.

"I'm going to get a drink," Angel said, squeezing Alastor's cheek. "I'll be right back!"

He darted over to the Drug Drink stand he'd been over to 2 times that evening. Alastor smiled wider at his departing back. Angel Dust was of course going to get more Angel Dust Juice. "Fairy," someone said. Alastor turned around, and met eyes with an owl demon, smoking a long cigar.

Alastor glared, but he had heard much worse. It wasn't anything new to him. He turned back around, trying to spot Angel's pink-and-white fur through the crowd, before a kerfuffle caught his attention.

It was the same owl demon, only this time he was yelling and screaming at Angel. Alastor's Angel. Angel looked hurt, and he was bleeding from a cut on his cheek.

Anger chorused through Alastor's veins, and he stamped forward, fuming. He tapped the owl on the shoulder, and he turned.

Alastor tilted his head slightly to the side, antlers growing longer, static surrounding him, his eyes changing into radio dials. He suddenly radiated menace, vindictiveness and anger. The owl demon backed away, afraid.

He took one last look at Angel and ran. As soon as he was gone, Alastor let go of his demonic side, and pulled Angel into a hug. "He doesn't belong here," he whispered. "I love you."

"I know," Angel said, kissing his jaw. "I love you, too. I've heard worse, anyhow." And he winked.
