Comment: Angel some how gets rabies and uh uh alastor is sad bc no cure BUT a good angel from heaven cure angel dust ???? Idk if this good but uh yee
(I won't do rabies, cause I don't think demons can get them. But HIV/AIDS I can do. Sorry, Angel. Angel: -_-)
It got worse everyday. The doctors said he would die. He would die. He couldn't die. Not now.
They said it had probably been in his body for years now, and was only just starting to take effect. Alastor hugged Angel to his chest. Angel weakly hugged back, and pulled back suddenly to let out a heavy, dry coughing fit, one that ripped his whole body. He felt hot against Alastor's skin.
Alastor bit his lip to stop the rush of tears. "Angel," he whispered.
Angel hugged him tight. "I'll be okay, Al," he said. "I'll be at peace." He coughed again, and closed his eyes slightly. "When I'm gone, please don't be lonely. Please don't cry for ages. Move on. Find someone else. Someone better. Please, Alastor. Promise me."
Alastor shuddered from sobs. "I can't, Angel," he said. "I love you."
"I love you, too," Angel said, and closed his eyes. His breathing became shallow.
"Angel?" Alastor shook him gently. No response. "Angel! ANGEL! ANGEL DUST!"
A doctor came in, holding a long needle, filled with a bright gold liquid. Alastor looked up, tears streaking his face. He had been around demons his whole life. Most echoed an aura of dying painfully. This one didn't.
"Stand back," the doctor said, in a female voice. "He'll thrash."
Alastor stroked Angel's hair back gently. No response. As the doctor passed, Alastor had a quick flash of peace. Whoever this person was, they had a peaceful death. Which meant they didn't belong in Hell. "You're an - " he paused. "Angel. You're from Heaven."
The doctor didn't say anything. Just picked up Angel's arm and stabbed the needle into it. He thrashed, but she kept a firm grip on his arm, and he eventually calmed, until he just lay, breathing heavily. "He'll be alright now," the angel said, pocketing the empty syringe.
"Why?" Alastor said, grabbing her arm. "Why did you help him? Why? Tell me why!"
"Because," she said, pulling away her mask to reveal a beautiful but horribly scarred face. "I saw how he loved you, and you loved him, and I couldn't let a disease get in the way." She tapped the pocket with the needle. "It's been burned out of his body. He'll wake up alive and completely AIDS-free."
"T-Thank you," Alastor said.
"Think nothing of it," she said. "But the love you have for each other is rare and beautiful. Don't let that love end. It's something to value."
She left, and hours later Angel woke up.
"But - but, AIDS, I was - " he stammered. He looked at Alastor, smiling wider than he had ever smiled before. "Al?"
"I'm here," Alastor squeezed his hand. "And I have a story for you."
