Chapter 54: All My Life♥

*Roc’s P.O.V*

The memories of last night still played clearly in my mind. Having my family, the love of my life and especially my daughter see and go through something like that. I don’t even know why I’m still here.

I should’ve just made Jay take my life at that moment. I should’ve tried harder to stop Siyara from going through with her decision. I shouldn’t have drunk that night Kirko’s. I shouldn’t have gone with Marcus to that bar hideout or smoke that blunt.

There’re so many things in my life that I wish I had never did or made happen. Look at where it brought me; nearly having my life taken for good.

My head throbbed uncontrollably. There was still so much I had to take in. No matter how hard I tried to go back to sleep; nothing. Siyara begins tossing, turning, and screaming in her sleep for the fourth time since last night.

Another bad dream after the next. She finally sits up, taking in the little light coming from outside of the rainy afternoon.

Me: “Another bad dream?” She nods her head yes. I kiss her and she pulls away after four seconds.

Siyara: “Last night was really scary. You see the things that people do for you? It’s all out of love Roc; what I did last night is all it was. So don’t think things are good between us again because it’s not.” She wraps herself in the towel, leaving the room without another word.

Half an hour later, she comes back into my room waking me up after I had just found myself drifting back to sleep. Siyara: “Can you give me a ride to my parents’ house? They’re spending the day with Yaniese.”

The very last thing I could do is say no. I hold back the tired feeling left back from last night, get dressed then take Yaniese and her bags to the car.

*Siyara’s Parents’ House*

We enter the front door of the house only to have Siyara’s Mom and Ant fill her with hugs and kisses. Her Dad did the same, but more calmly. Lauren: “Baby, what happened to your arm?” Siyara: “Um I fell on the stairs at school and landed pretty hard. I’m fine.”

She seems a bit uneasy, not wanting to lie to her Mom. They leave with Yaniese into the kitchen. I sit in the living room with DJ and Ant.

DJ: “Everything good Roc? Looks to me like Siyara and Yaniese are tiring you out. How are things going with you and Siyara?” DJ and Lauren had been out of town these past few months so they don’t really know about what’s been happening.

I have a long, very long talk with DJ and Ant about everything. From the time I started drinking and selling all down to last night.

For the first in a long time, we were all able to sit and talk with each other, and give out advice. DJ wanted to bug out when I told him what Siyara went through as of the night before.

He’s been working on how to handle his anger because he took the news pretty reasonably.

Me: “With her birthday now next week, I know exactly what I’m gonna do and this time, I’m gonna be a man and live up to my expectations. It takes on a lot of responsibilities and much more but I’m doing it no matter what’s trying to stop me.”

A smile spreads across DJ’s face. DJ: “What are you planning on doing this time big man? *laugh* Me: “We can go take a drive and talk about that in the car.” We get up, heading towards the door just as Siyara and Lauren come back.

Lauren: “Where are you guys going?”

Me: “Nowhere. It’ll be good. I’m now making my dream come to life; you’ll never forget it Siyara.” I smile at her, walking out the door. As I got in the car, my world grew bigger and stronger.

*Siyara’s Birthday ^.^*

Happy Birthday to me all over again, lol. Can’t believe it’s been a year so fast. I’m fifteen already; it’s like I turned fourteen yesterday. It may be my birthday but it’s Yaniese's first Christmas!! Her and everyone else woke me out of bed. We all go down for breakfast.

Soon it was time to open the presents. Yaniese got a ton load of toys, clothes, shoes, and a whole lot more. She looked so adorable with Roc helping her to open her presents. It brought a big smile seeing them both so happy.

She is young but I knew what she was feeling. Roc’s parents just gave me money for my birthday and his Mom offered to take me out when she had time. Prehia’s annoyance and just having her around was just enough.

Roc: “Siyara you have a gift under here to.” He hands me a small rectangular box. I hate it when he does stuff like this because I know he spent a lot of money.

I open the box revealing a necklace with three lockets; each with me, Roc, and Yaniese’s birthstone. Did I mention the pictures in them, it was so sweet.

He clasps the necklace around my neck and I give him a hug.

*Roc's P.O.V*

Me: “That’s not it. I was gonna take you ice skating and a nice evening somewhere.” Siyara: “Roc you didn’t have to do this.” Me: “No, I wanted to. *smile*”

Our day goes on. By the way Siyara’s been acting since got to the ice rink, I knew she’d been having a lot of fun and the rest of the night would be perfect. Siyara: “Roc! Where are you taking me?” Me: “You’ll see. Only a few more steps…okay. Open.”

She opens her eyes and smiles tremendously. I took her for a night walk at the huge fountain downtown. Sounds weird but it was really romantic. Me: “Make a wish.” I look in her eyes, feeling so much love.

I almost froze up. She closes her eyes and makes her wish. A couple seconds after she opens her eyes, a series of fireworks spread across the sky. She laughed at the moment.

When they were finished, I Am For You by Lisa Tucker begins playing. Siyara looks around, wondering what’s going on. It was time.

Me: “Siyara. There’s something I’ve been meaning to do for a really long time. I think now is the right time.” Siyara: “Roc what do you mean?”

I hold her hand, slowly going down on one knee. You could see it in her eyes that she was crying already. I reach into my shirt pocket, taking out the box. I open it and there it was… My life, my soul, my heartbeat; lying in the palm of my hand.

Me: “Siyara Marie Williams, the mother of a God given blessing, I come down on one knee tonight to promise and honor my love to you until the end of time. I’ve promised you multiple times in the past, but now I wanna do it right. I wanna be the man you’ve been waiting for, the one you fell in love about two years ago. I’m not only promising you my love but I’m asking you to spend the rest of your life with me. All our lives we’ve been waiting for each other, for a moment like this, so I wanna know… Will you marry me?”

Tears rushed down her cheeks. Siyara: “Yes.” I remove the ring from the box and place it on her finger. I stand up to have Siyara kiss my lips with love and compassion then wraps her arms around my neck.

All my life I’ve been searching, trying to find her, but now I know I finally found MY MRS. RIGHT ♥…
