He had no idea. He had no idea that Mindy had planned his demise all along. He had no idea that Mindy had orcestrated this entire ordeal.

He had no idea that Mindy's boss was the mother herself.

Mindy smiled to herself in the mirror, brushing her iconic purple hair. She thought about Cody's demise, a common topic in her mind lately. It was just too fun to think about, wasn't it?

She knew everything would go to plan, because there was no other way it could go. Mindy set down the hairbrush, flashing a pristine smile at her mirror-self before bouncing out of the bathroom, which left her to stare at the rest of her house. The oddly shaped hallway held a white door, inconspicuous, really, behind which was a spiraling metal staircase which lead to a secret lab.

Her own personal secret lab.

Nice, right? In there lay stockpiles of bizarre fruits and samples of her favorite plant (wink wink).

Mindy took out her phone and began constructing an innocent message to Cody asking if he wanted to go out for coffee.

Cody, Cody, Cody. He was in for quite the ride, wasn't he? He had met mother, now he was going to be murdered by her. And Mindy would be found easily innocent, not even relative to the case. Not even close.

Mindy watched as Cody sent a message back: Sure :).

Mindy went over her day's plan in the Notes app of her phone:
- Get Cody to come out for coffee, distract him again. (Poor, ignorant Cody...)
- Pay Micah for his new stolen goods.
- More bizarre plants around town, can't go wrong with a few more :)
- Meet with mother and discuss matters while dissolved into possession.
- Free time! Maybe read that new book bought yesterday

It was going to be a great day and Mindy knew it. She grabbed her bag, plastered on a smile faker than Micah's 'tough guy' persona, and twisted the doorknob, reveling in the air hitting her skin. She was wearing a multicolored sundress now, and it was blowing in the breeze.

Mindy stared happily up at the dismal green sky. What a beautiful day! She loved feeling the wind crash against her skin, loved hearing the insane jibberish mutters of people possessed and walking the streets, and the screaming of sane people, like herself! Except she didn't scream.

She saw the coffee shop she was headed for, StrangerCafe, walked up to the doors, and pushed them open. It was deserted, contary to the large OPEN sign on the door. Making her own coffee it was.

Mindy slid behind the counter and fixed her and Cody two coffees, then walked out the door, finding Cody about to walk in.

"No need, it's abandoned. I brought some coffee," Mindy said, flashing Cody a bigger-but-not-over-the-top fake smile.
"Thanks," Cody said with a genuine smile, taking the coffee and staring at the straw with an off expression.
"What's wrong?"
"Oh... Nothing, I'm just... Really not hungry, y'know?" Cody handed her back his drink, "Thanks for the gesture though, I appreciate it."
"Oh, it's alright," Mindy said, her sappy sweet smile etched into her cheeks.
"Ok then... What have you been up to lately?"
"Nothing much, juat saving the world with you..."
"Nothing much, huh?" Cody joked as Mindy faked a soft giggle.
"Nothing much," Mindy confirmed with her signature fake smile.
"If you say so..." Cody said, smiling.

Mindy was a master of lying, and she could have sworn she had seen a flash of... Falseness in Cody's eyes. She was probably already high on coffee.

Mindy shook her head gently to herself, focusing on Cody's eyes. They'd gone on a date but they'd never shared their first kiss. Was it going to happen now?

Cody looked away, the back of his neck red.

"I have to go... Saving the world related things to do," Cody said, looking down into Mindy's eyes (she was quite a bit shorter than him).
"Ok," Mindy replied, tugging Cody into a hug.
"Bye," Cody said, waving back.
"Goodbye!" Mindy waved her hand quickly back and forth, and only replaced her fake smile with a frown and a groan when Cody was out of sight. Could that redhead be any more annoying?

Mindy glanced at the trailer park around the corner. Micah was casually leaned up the front of his trailer, looking much like his 'tough guy' side. Oh yeah, that tough guy side that didn't really exist! God, all the people around Mindy were just annoying.

Mindy walked over to the blonde and muttered, "Well, got the seeds?"
"Yes," Micah replied with a stern glare
"Well, where?" Mindy asked. Micah pointed to a plastic bag next to him.

Mindy handed Micah a stack equalling $50, and he took it and stashed it in his pocket. Mindy habitually glanced around to make sure no one was watching. No one was visible within the two's vicinity. Mindy took the bag and walked off, tearing open her first seed packet. She dropped them along the sand, but it didn't really matter where she put them, because weird alien plants grow anywhere!

After pouring out Seed Packet #1, she opened a second one and made her way to the town square, dumping more there. No one around cared, they were too possessed to even give a glance to Mindy. Easily enough, Mindy eventually had emptied 10 seed packets in random spots around the small town. It wasn't much of a feat, since everyone around had eyes open too wide and smiles stretched too far.

Remembering her plan for the day, Mindy decided to rearrange. Mother would have to come last, as Cody had 'saving the world things to do.' Usually, that involved the lab, so that was off-limits. She'd have to wait until he was done. Until then, she could read her new book, Suspicion. She'd just bought it yesterday, and judging from the cover, it looked amazing. Betrayal of friends? Yes, please.

Mindy made it almost halfway through Suspicion when Cody told her that he was on his way home from the lab and asked if they wanted to go out to meet somewhere. Mindy politely declined, fakely explaining that she had somewhere else to be. That place was with Mother.
