The blood still dripped from her suit and each step left a dark trail behind. Sweat collected on her forehead and her hair leaked out of her hood. Zack's right hand trembled and she became more intimidating in his mind as silence rang out. The ice stayed on buildings and patches on the black asphalt. With a shattered mask Zack's sea green eyes could be seen.

"Your a demon!"

"Takes one to know one." Mockingbird responded.

A helicopter had arrived overhead, footsteps surrounded the two just out of sight. Guns clicked and blades cut through the air. Shaken breaths and hands aimed at them. Whispers and static circled as they got closer. Clearly, they had dealt with the Blood King before, a big takedown for a single person. Yet they were still hesitating from something. Keeping her focus on Zack even he was terrified. A sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach rested as realization kicked in.

It wasn't the Blood King they were afraid of it was his Black Sheep.

Like a pin echoing through a empty room her eves suddenly started to dart in every direction. Her own fear consumed her thoughts as she sprung from her position and disappeared.

"She's just a traitor! You heard the conversation, now she's on the warpath and won't stop till this guy is dead!" Cupid's hand slammed on the desk. "We need to find her before she exposes us!"

"And do what? Incarcerate her? Think of what she'll do when we try something like that on her again. Last time 13 was compliant with us until we showed her something to attack. If she was mentally more stable and wasn't coughing blood she would have destroyed everything in her path until she escaped." Said Iwix, deeply troubled by the predicament

"She is THE Black Sheep director, the next in line to take over."

"Not unless the king dies, as long as he's safe they'll be too unorganized to plan an attack. She clearly stated that she wasn't going with his plan anyway."

"That dose not make her any more dangerous."

"Oh please, she didn't use her ability in the exam. That makes her dangerous, her ability to fight better than most was because she was meant to be a weapon. Not a soldier, not a servant, not a footman, not a terminator nor a marksman, but a mindless weapon. She follows everything, analyzes, calculates, plans, defends, attacks. Half the fun is the chase. Once you catch your target then you look for the next best. Think like a top-tire that wants the thrill of the hunt, where would you go to test your willfulness?"
--------------------------miles away from uptown leaves clinger to her blood soaked clothing in the rural forest. The birds sang and leaves swayed in the wind when it blew. The sky started to dim with blackness and dotted with lights.

She peaked down at the hole to see a few flesh wound. Cursing under her breath she realized how much energy that was actually used. A frail line of her power still flowed through her to heal the wound the Blood King had made. All she did was connect vital organs, and tissue together so it would be tricked to repair itself naturally. As though the skin cells naturally died off but replaced. She was lucky that he didn't pierce her spine or else it would be a different story. However she didn't have enough energy left to trick the entire wound. Her best option was to rest so that she could regain strength. By now at least half the country had seen her appearance. Even if they didn't know her face they did know her suit.

Pulling off her mask and headwear she felt herself get lost in the sounds. Water running down polished rocks, air beneath wings of birds, crinkling of leaves under paws and talons and others munching on berries and bones.

She felt tired and needed to eat and drink to even keep herself in this condition. A fever crawled up to nest on her head and unsteady legs carried her near a riverbed. The sound of running water spoke of rehydration and plentiful plants. Prying away at the wall made of bushes she could almost see the water.

That's when she heard the childish laughter of a pair.

Brothers from the same mother.

They had their father's hunting rifle.

Shooting cans with terrible aim.

Bickering about their sorrow.

Stray bullets bouncing off rocks.

Acting like big men hunting animals.

The rich smell of gunpowder dulled her senses as loud cracks rang out. Placing her headwear back on to shield herself from it all. Perhaps, this is what she needed. In any case getting her wounds cleaned and a place to recover was top priority. If she wore a mask they might instinctively shoot her. An unneeded thing to add to her list of problems.

How the sap clings to the tree.
---------------------------

"YOU ALL ARE IDIOTS!" Came the yell from the interrogation room.

"You think that Jane has revenge on Phantom? You must be out of your mind." Hissed Zack.

"Then who is she after?" Growled Cupid.

"Thinking for a moment he smirked. "I've never seen her this strong, to be honest. She didn't WANT to fight me nor my men, Jane was looking for someone else. Judging by how quickly she made it to uptown, the energy already spent in both the robbery and the battle with me she's drained. It'll be at least 4 days till she is in top fighting condition." A devilish grin suddenly crossed his mouth. "I suggest whoever saved her from Phantom moves and stays hidden for good."

"Why would she attack people that saved her?"

"It's something you wouldn't understand. No, she wouldn't attack my people out of cold-blood. Jane already got her fun out of me. I got what I deserved. Whoever saved her will also."

"Stop with the cryptic answers. What makes you think she won't just attack Phantom or take over your operation?"

"Right now she isn't strong enough to Phantom. Even so, Jane has nothing to prove. She can't become a King. It's not in her blood."

"Then why is she the Black Sheep?" Grumbled Cupid, feeling like this wasn't getting anywhere.

"Because she is someone whom I can trust. Honestly, you people are so blind you can't see the answers." Zack laid back on his little metal chair. "That's what made Jane special, she always saw more than everyone and never ceased to go beyond expectations. I liked this. Maybe you can find more if you come next time I'll give you some more gossip for you leeches."He whispered as he stood over a cavern full of memories.
