Crouching low to the ground she saw the plates replace themselves and adjust differently."You will be graded based upon standards, strength, control, agility, stance, use of your abilities, skill and damage to the corse itself. Your goal is to deal the least amount of damage and not to rely heavily on your powers. You will begin when your body crosses the white line."
Once she stepped out of she 13 took off to the first challenge, two walls. Bouncing side to side with ease she climbed them to be met with rigs and swung across. Landing with both feet 5 large paddles swung back and forth and crossed her path. Weaving quickly with only a shift pause at the end she climbed up using the handholds. Arrows were thrown at her on a strip but 13 went through it like lightning and made it up to the platform in record time. She hadn't even broken a sweat and her breathing was steady. Climbing back down she walked over to Agent 46 as the obstacles disappeared within the room's walls.
Passing her without a glance 13 went straight back to her room. Laying down she felt the bed's stiffness, her head ached from everything that happened. Too many people, too much analysis, too much energy, too much to handle at once. It felt strange to be near other people that were similar to herself. A nice bed, clean room and better yet cloths that didn't rot of death. There wasn't any old traces of blood or mold on the walls. Shifting her hand to feel the bed she took it all in and allowed herself sleep.
---------------------------
She stood on hard wood floors that were worn. A bar table and a shelf appeared as well as a fairly young man that sat in a barstool. He had long, jagged scars and with one clear eye he glanced at her before swiveling to look at her dead on."Finally decided to show your face here again, huh?" He sneered. "Big risk you took projecting here."
13 took a seat next to him but only stared at the rows of bottles. "I need a favor."
"What is it this time B? Kill order on some official?"
"No. " she said bluntly. "I want as much information on an agency that is sponsoring 8 heroes and currently involved with a project of another 20. All of them have abilities. Lots of money and staff. Those 8 have a base out in a rural area, a barrier covers the entire area that gives off the opposite energy when it's hit."
"By the way..." he said sinisterly before whispering the next part. "How is that wound treating you?"
"Do your job Nick and I'll think about letting you live ."
Getting up Nick sighed. "Cold as ever. I'll see what I can dig up."
---------------------------Shooting awake 13 felt the tightness in her lungs and the rapid heartbeat that couldn't stop pounding in her ears. Struggling to get out of bed her legs shook too badly and collapsed under her weight. Her entire body started shaking and ragged breaths still came out. Her chest felt like it was being ripped apart. Gripping her shirt and shoulders she curled up to have her head touching the ground. A different blackness covered the floor and made cracks in the floor. Finally it stopped. Like a wave of relief she could breath once more. Nothing had ever happened before like this. Something changed as though a lock had been opened but to where? Gripping the edge of the bed 13 pulled herself up by the covers. Two men steeped inside her room one had a needle that held an odd yellow liquid. Her eyes flickered as she turned to face them. The lights shattered and a aura forced the glass towards the two men. Her hand stuck out from them and was 2 feet away from their faces. Pinned to the walls by slivers of glass while yellow liquid was dripped. Their eyes rolled back and they both fell unconscious. 13 turned to face the camera tucked in a corner.
With a wicked smile she said. "You have to learn the rules of the game. You have to play better than anyone else. Leave your ego at the door and bring your discipline instead."
