Mackenzie giggles to herself, her thumb hovering over the reply button. But before she could type in a response to the boy next door, there was a loud sequence of fists banging against her bedroom door.
"Kenzie? I know you're awake, I saw you posting on insta!" Maddie yells from the other side.
Groaning, Mackenzie pulls back her comforter and forces herself out of bed. She walks over to the door, taking a look in her mirror before she opens it. Her hair is messy and she's wearing sweatpants and a crop top. Usually, she changes into actual pyjamas before bed but last night she just couldn't bring herself to get changed. She's lazy, deal with it.
Throwing the door open, Mackenzie leans against it, staring her sister down.
"What do you want?" She asks bluntly, folding her arms. It's way too early on a Monday morning for Maddie's bullshit.
"Don't give me attitude".
"I'm not!"
"Are too!"
"Maddie what the fuck do you want?".
Taken aback by her younger sisters rude outburst, Maddie glares at Mackenzie, no longer feeling like she wants to say goodbye to her.
