Chapter Four

Call from: Vanessa

Nope. End. I'm not talking to any of them. Except..maybe Luke. If he called me.

Yeah, that'll happen. 

He was just as embarrassed as I was. And it was pretty bad. Ugh. 

Call from: Beau Brooks

Quit it guys! I ignored it. 

From: Vanessa

I will come to your house if you don't answer your phone.

To: Vanessa

Do it. I dare you.

From: Vanessa

I'm coming with Beau and Jai and Luke..if we can get him out of his room. Just you wait Shea Jessica Ferris!

To: Vanessa

Good luck with that Vanessa Anne Stewart!

From: Vanessa

:P Shut up. We're on our way!

I groaned. No, they couldn't come over! It'd just be awkward.

 From: Jai Brooks

We're coming to get you! Mwahahaha!

To: Jai Brooks

Shut up..just..shut up

Two blocks from your house! Luke is being such a baby..

To: Jai Brooks

Ugh.. :P

Pulling into your driveway..

I jumped up and looked out the window to see Vanessa's blue car pulling up. (Yeah I'm not all mechanicy. Any type of vehicle is a car to me.)

I watched Jai drag Luke out of the car and I ran up the stairs. Right as I reached my bedroom door, I remembered that Vanessa knew about the key hidden under our door mat. I stopped short and raced back down the stairs to see her smirking at me.

"You forgot about the key under the mat." She said.

"I can see that." I rolled my eyes and sat down on the bottom step.

"Luke! Just get out of the car!" Jai yelled.

"No! I'm staying in here until I die!" Luke shot back.

I giggled a little. 

"Maybe, if I get Shea to come over here you'll get out!" Jai started walking towards me.

"No way." I stood up and shook my head.

"Seriously? You guys have to face each other at some point!" Jai glared at me.

"I'm not going out there!" I said, glaring right back.

"Come on.." Vanessa grabbed my arm.

"Vanessa! Let go of me!" I screeched.

She just shook her head and dragged me out the door. 

"Vanessa! Quit it!" I squirmed and tried to get out of her grasp.

Jai was trying to get Luke out of the car again and I tried to turn around.

"Just..get out.." He pulled Luke halfway out of the car and grabbed his arm.

"Jai! Stop it!" He yelled, laying on his back, hanging upside down out of the car.

"Quit being..such..a baby!" Jai said, pulling on his arms.

"Vanessa! Just let me go!" I yelled once again. 

She pulled me forward and smiled. "Just go. Talk to him."

"No! It'll just be...awkward." I said.

"Just talk to him! He's right there!" Beau yelled. I turned to see Luke laying awkwardly out of the car. He and Jai had frozen, mid struggle.

I smiled a little at the sight of them arguing. Luke started blushing and I did, too. God, he was just so..cute. 

"Talk to her.." Jai said letting go of him. He fell out of the car and I giggled a little. Suddenly, Vanessa pushed me forward and I landed on my knees, right in front of Luke.

"Hi.." He smiled and looked up at me.

"Hi." I smiled back and looked into his eyes. 

Okay, maybe this wasn't so awkward. It was..sweet.

"I...uh..well, I'm on the ground." He blushed.

"Well, I am too." I smiled and tucked my hair behind my ear.

Behind me, I heard Vanessa whispering, "We should let them be..come on, let's go inside."

I glanced back at them and she smiled before they walked inside.

Turning back to Luke, I saw him just smiling.

"So..this is.." I started.

"Nice." He finished and smiled. I smiled back and looked into his eyes.

"Yeah. I..um..I like you, Luke." I blushed right after I said that.

"I like you, too, Shea. A lot." He smiled and blushed, too.

I couldn't help but smile at him saying that. Yeah, it was true. I liked him and he liked me.

"So..I.." He bit his lip. "I just wanted to know.."

"Yeah..?" I looked at him.

"How would you feel...about going on a date with me?" He smiled hopefully.

I nodded. "I'd love that."

He grinned. "That's great. How about seven tomorrow night?"

I smiled and nodded again. "Sure."

He smiled and kissed my cheek. "Perfect."
