I woke up to a bright room.

Squinting, I looked around and saw my mom and Bradi and Vanessa sitting on chairs next to each other, looking at the ground.

"Mom..?" I asked groggily.

She looked up. "Shea, you're awake!" They all ran over to me and I was suddenly aware of a massive head ache.

"She's awake?" Came an unfamiliar male voice.

Suddenly, three boys walked into the room. Two of them were obviously twins and the other seemed older.

"Who..?" I looked at them and then at Vanessa and Bradi.

"It's me. Beau, Jai and Luke? Remember?" The older looking one said.

I stared at him. He didn't look familiar at all.

"Shea, come on. You know me. It's been a really, really messed up week. Seven days of torture, seven days of bitter." He smiled.

"What are you talking about? I- no. Who are you?" I sat up slowly.

His smile faded and his green eyes turned a shade of greenish/gray.

"I...it's Beau." He frowned.

"And Jai."

"And Luke."

"I'm sorry. I don't know who you are." I said slowly.

One of the twins - Luke I think? - had an extremely sad expression on his face.

Then it hit me: Bradi and Vanessa looked older.

Vanessa had blonde streaks in her dark brown hair.

Bradi had shorter hair and her face seemed more. . .mature. She looked like she was a teenager.

They both did.

"Guys, what's going on?" I asked, getting scared.

I continued to look at them and find differences.

Vanessa didn't have glasses.

Bradi's eyes seemed more green.

Vanessa's hair was much, much longer.

Something suddenly made me look at my hands.

They looked the same.

Well, hands don't really change much.

I looked at my mom. She looked really different.

Her hair was now blonde, not brown. She had perfectly manicured nails and she had glasses. Her skin was much more tan and she wore more fashionable clothes.

"What's going on?" I asked again.

"Sweetie, what's the last thing you remember?" My mom asked.

"I. . .the first day in eighth grade." I said truthfully.

She gasped and so did everyone else.

"What? What's wrong?" I asked.

"Shea, you have to remember!" Luke? said.

I looked at him. "Would you please just explain what is going on?"

"Jai is dating Bradi and Beau is dating Vanessa and we're dating! Shea, I love you. You can't forget me." Okay, this guy was seriously freaking me out.

My eyes widened. "Bradi, Vanessa, what about Matt?"

They looked at me. "Who?"

"Matt! My boyfriend! Why isn't he here!?" I sat up further.

Bradi gasped and Vanessa frowned.

"Matt uh...he...well, you guys broke up. And he...died in a car crash a few weeks later." Bradi said softly.

My jaw dropped. "Matt's dead?"

"He's been dead for almost five years, Shea." Vanessa said.

Tears stung my eyes.

"Wait, what? Five years? Five years?!" I stared at them.

"Well, glad to see you're awake." A doctor said from the doorway.

I looked at her and nodded.

"I'm just going to ask you some questions okay?" She sat down on the bed.

"Okay." I replied.

"What year is it?" She asked.

I actually snorted. "It's 2008."

She nodded. "And you're in eighth grade?"

I nodded. "Yes."

"And where is your father right now?"

"Uh, at home maybe?" I bit my lip.

She frowned. "Tracy, do you want to tell her?"

"Tell me what?" I asked.

"Honey, your father...left." She said softly.

I gulped. "He left? For like a business trip?"

She shook her head.

So, my boyfriend is dead and my dad is gone. And I have no idea who these guys are and one of them says he loves me.

"What happened? Somebody better answer me this time." I said sternly.

"You fell. We were in a tree and you fell." Bradi said shakily.

"I always fall from trees." I said.

"You don't always hit your head and lose your memory." She frowned.

Oh, so I lost my memory huh?

"I didn't lose my m-" I started but then stopped myself.

It made sense. They looked older. They looked different. It made sense.

I looked up at the boys.

They probably did know me.

I just didn't know them.

Because I lost my memory.

This all made sense in a insensible way.

"Shea?" Luke's voice broke into my thoughts.

I turned to him. "Huh..?"

Before I could comprehend what was going on he sent his lips crashing against mine
