Chapter Ten

Luke Brooks

I couldn't handle anything anymore.

My life just wasn't right. I couldn't even make any videos with the boys. All I did was lay in my bed and sob without sympathy from anyone.

The only one who somewhat cares is James. But all he says is, "Now, I don't like seeing you crying but what you did was really horrible."

Gee, thanks.

"Luke! Phone's for you!"

"Tell them to go fuck themselves!" I yelled.

There was footsteps and my door swung open. "Take the phone."

"No." I muttered.

"Luke, take it!"

I rolled over to see Jai standing in the doorway with Bradi.

"Fine! Give it to me!" I snapped.

Jai tossed it onto my bed and I grabbed it.

"Hello?" I grumbled.

"Hi, Luke."

I sat up suddenly. "Shea?"

"I...yeah."

"Why-? Why are you calling me?" I asked, smiling at the sound of her voice.

"Jai said you needed to stop crying so I just...did."

"Oh. Well it's really nice to hear your voice-"

"It's really painful to hear yours. Can we just make this quick?" She sniffled.

"Right. I just want you to know I'm really sorry about all that's happened to you. That I've put you through. I hope you find someone that won't hurt you like I did. And I'll always love you, Shea. Forever and always."

There was a long silence and I could hear a faint sobbing.

"Want me to hang up..?" Came Vanessa's voice.

There was rustling and then silence again.

Finally, Shea spoke. "I'll always love you too."

Then she hung up.

I put my head in my hands and bit my lip.

"Luke," Jai walked over.

I looked up at him. "W-what?"

"I'm sorry. If I did what you did I know you'd be there for me. And I haven't been here for you. You're still in as much pain as Shea is."

I couldn't talk so I just nodded.

Bradi let out a shaky breath and walked over to the bed too.

"I'm sorry too, Luke." She whispered.

I nodded again.

Just kill me now. Please. Put me out of my misery.

"I'M SLIM SHADY! YES I'M THE REAL SHADY! ALL YOU OTHER SLIM SHADYS ARE JUST IMITATING! SO WILL THE REAL SLIM SHADY PLEASE STAND UP!?"

"Bradi! Turn it off!" I yelled.

"What?" She yelled back.

"Turn it the fuck off!" I screamed.

"Oh! Okay!"
