Chapter Nine

"I don't care! He said it!" Beau laughed.

"No, you said it and he repeated it!" I laughed too.

"Oh, stop guys." Vanessa rolled her eyes.

"It's better than fighting." I shrugged.

"You're so immature though!" She said.

I stuck my tongue out at her and leaned back on the couch.

"Don't be such a party pooper, Ness." He put his arm around her.

"I'm not a party pooper." She protested.

"Well, you're not a party brighten upper." I laughed.

She groaned. "Where the fuck is Bradi?"

"She's at home." I stated simply.

"Well, she needs to come save me."

I rolled my eyes. "I'm going to get food."

Standing up, I grabbed my phone and walked to the kitchen.

I heard them whispering behind me.

"Well don't tell her." Vanessa said.

"What am I supposed to do?" Beau asked.

"If you don't kill him before I do..." She trailed off.

Kill who? What?

I grabbed a bag of chips and walked back out. "What'd I miss?"

"Nothing." They both said at the same time.

"Kitchen isn't sound proof, guys." I put a few chips in my mouth.

They both looked down. "Oh, right."

"So, give it up." I sat down on the couch.

"Jai and Luke were in the mall and..." Beau started.

"And..?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Jai lost Luke but found him sucking face with some blonde slut." Vanessa blurted out.

I squeezed the bag of chips and I'm pretty sure I crunched them all to crumbs.

"Vanessa!" Beau said.

"I'm sorry! She wanted to know! I'm gonna kill him!" She shouted.

I sat there, unmoving, unblinking, not breathing.

"Give me my phone!" Vanessa yelled.

"No!" Beau held it above his head.

"GIVE IT TO ME!" She screamed.

"Ness-"

She grabbed it and dialed a number angrily.

"Jai?! Where the fuck is Luke?!" She yelled.

"Yeah? Well tell him I'm so gonna kill him!"

"I'll fucking drown him in the water fountain!"

"Yeah, bye!" She growled and slammed her phone down.

I couldn't handle it anymore.

"I KNEW I NEVER SHOULD'VE WENT OUT WITH HIM! THIS IS THE STUPIDEST DECISION I'VE EVER MADE! ALL HE IS IS A PLAYER!" I screamed.

"Shea.." Vanessa said softly.

"No! I hate him! I hate him more than I did before!" I had begun to cry but I didn't care.

"It's alright." Beau whispered. "I kind of hate him too right now."

I jumped about ten feet in the air when my phone rang.

I picked it up and saw Jai calling.

"H-hello?" I choked out through sobs.

"Babe! I didn't mean-"

"Luke?! Don't even fucking call me! I hate you! 'Never again, Shea! I'll never cheat again!' Bullshit!" I screamed.

"Shea, listen to me-"

"What's your excuse this time? You already used the 'she kissed me' one. What's it gonna be? 'I fell and my lips landed on hers'? 'She wasn't breathing so I started giving her CPR'?" I said coldly.

"Luke, give me my phone back!" Jai yelled.

"I'm not going anywhere near you!" Luke yelled back.

"Why?"

"You're gonna hit me!"

"Damn right I'm gonna hit you!"

Luke screamed like a little girl.

"Oh, we're all gonna hit you, Luke." Beau hissed into the phone.

"This may seem a little too Taylor Swift but, we are never ever getting back together." I snapped and hung up.

I ran out the door, sobbing.

Beau and Vanessa yelled for me to come back but I just kept running.

Never stopping. I was going to run until my legs gave out.

I ran for what seemed like hours until I collapsed on my knees on the sidewalk.

There were footsteps behind me and I ignored them.

"Sh-Shea!" Vanessa yelled as she and Beau ran up next to me.

"Oh, hey.." I sniffled.

They both sat down next to me and squished me in a hug.

More like Vanessa squeezing me in Beau's lap, both of us crying.

Beau was rubbing both of our backs and mumbling about how hard he was going to hit Luke

"So, Shea, guys are dumb. Just throw rocks at them." Beau sighed.

I smiled a little.

Vanessa let out a sort of laugh/sigh.
