- Jeon Jeongguk -

I walk up the steps to the house I had been invited to after school, listening to the crunches of the autumn leaves under my feet. I'm not sure why I was invited, but my friend Seokjin and his boyfriend had requested that I come over - and that it's important.  Usually, other people don't matter to me, but they sounded serious.

It's always nerve-wracking when someone says it's important that I meet them somewhere or speak to them.  I've always felt like that meant I was in trouble, even though I never am.  Everyone always says it.   The sense of guilt forms even when you've done nothing wrong.   But the problem is, I've done many things wrong.  Many things that would get me thrown into prison for the rest of my life.  And I was - still am - too young for jail.

I step up to the door and knock four times, as Seokjin instructed me to do.  I stand there for only a moment before the door opens to a familiar face.  A classmate and my closest friend, Park Jimin. I'm surprised as to why he is here and panic, knowing that he's the only person who knows the trouble I like to cause.

He reaches out and pulls me into the house quickly, before I could even say anything.   Taking my hand, he leads me into the living room.  I have only been to Seokjin's house a couple of times before, so I don't really know my way around.

As we step into the living room, I'm greeted by five other people who are sitting around on Jin's two couches.   I turn to look at Jimin, and only then do I notice the bruises covering his arms and shoulders, and the cut down his chin.    I'm used to seeing him with some bruises occasionally, from his parents, but this was worse than I had seen before.  His eyes look weak and broken, and his neck is covered in strangulation marks.

Turning back to the room of people looking at us, I give everyone a quick go-over.  Seokjin is leaning against a wall, arms crossed, looking out the mostly closed bay window on the south side of the room.  His boyfriend, Namjoon, sits on the chair next to him, watching me intensely.    I don't know much about him except that he's an older student at my school, and is aiming for the valedictorian award.

Looking down at the couch, I meet eyes with someone who looks like he's around Seokjin's age.  I know he's also a student at my school, and I recognize him as one of the kids who always hangs out just outside the groups, silent and watching. His hair is blackish grey, and his lips rest in an almost-pout.

Next to him is another boy, about the same age, who I don't quite recognize.   He has a small smile on his face, as he looks over at the boy next to him. He gives me a quick wave when he notices me looking in their direction.   His hair is black, and he's fidgeting in a way that I can't tell if it's from nervousness or excitement.

And then my eyes land on the last one, and he really catches my attention.   He's sat on the couch opposite the others, farther from the window.   He runs his fingers through his hair lightly as he gives me an intense but neutral stare.  His hair is an intense blue, like a blue raspberry ICEE. And dammit if he isn't the most handsome person I've ever seen.   It takes all my strength, but I tear my eyes away from him and back to Jin and Namjoon.

"So, why exactly am I here?" I ask.  Joon purses his lips at my tone of voice, before standing up and taking a couple of steps towards me.

"Is this a porno or something? Cause like, no shame or anything but I'm only 15 and I'm pretty sure that's illegal."   I joke, crossing my arms and leaning back to take in his full 6' figure.  He rolls his eyes, but I hear some chuckles from around the room.  After a few more moments of silence, Namjoon speaks again.

    "We know your secrets."

Silence. I feel my stomach doing flips, but I try to hide my panic. There's no way they could know anything! I'm super good at hiding it.

"I've seen you after school. Cornering random people and beating the shit out of them. Breaking into cars and leaving them trashed. I've been watching."  He continues.   I almost feel like I'm going to throw up, but I'm not that big of a pussy.  But, what kinda freak follows around another kid like that?  How had I not seen him watching me?

Seokjin interrupts him, noticing my panicked expression.  "We promise we aren't stalkers. But a couple of times when we went to look for you after school, we saw you. Nobody else knows."   Namjoon nods in agreement.  I open my mouth but my words don't come out, so instead, I violently motion at all the other people in the room.  Seokjin gives me a soft smile, but I gotta admit that it doesn't help much.

"Don't worry, we won't turn you in,"  Namjoon speaks up again.   He's very articulate and formal.  It's actually impressive; I've always been bad at communicating with people without pissing them off in some way.  He continues; "We actually need your assistance. We're all, a little like you."

The others nod, followed by the one with the black-grey hair cringing a bit at the cheesiness of that line.  Mood.

"I asked Namjoon and Jin to help me.   My parents... you know they beat me up, right?"  Jimin speaks up this time, grabbing my wrist.  I look at him and cock my head slightly, not wanting to freak him out that I know. "Well... it's just that, last time before I went to school, they said the next time they saw me, they would kill me. And then when I started staying away, they started looking around town for me, and I overheard them asking some gang at the side of the road if they knew where I was, so they could run me over."

I sigh, as Jimin looks to the ground numbly.  His parents found out about his recent coming out through some asshole rats at school, and their violence has only increased since.  Especially from his father.

"And then they found me, and they chased me with their car for like four blocks.  I knew I had to talk to someone, so I came and talked to Namjoon and Seokjin.   We all came to an agreement on how to handle the situation.   He invited you all over to help if you want..." Jimin steps shyly backward, almost tripping on a chair but catching himself.

"So... what's the plan? Why are we all invited here?" The one with black hair asks. His voice has a rasp to it but is somehow still gentle.

"Well, the explanation is pretty simple. I think we all agree that we have similar mental states... so we were going to take care of this our way."

So, how do you like it?  Does it sound interesting?  This is my first go at writing a fanfiction, so sorry if it's not as smooth as it could be.
