The room feels like it's spinning. My vision is blurred, and I feel very detached, but I can feel my friends dragging me in a weird direction. I don't think it's the way we came in, but I follow their lead, trusting they know best.
We go into a darker room, but I hear blinds open and suddenly it's painfully bright. More noises fly around my head, and I'm pulled in another direction. I'm brought closer to the bright natural light, and feel the outside air brush against my skin, which is extremely relieving.
There's lots of yelling that seems to be getting louder, but it's drowned out by excruciating pain in my side as one of my friends puts an enormous amount of pressure on it. I gasp, choking on my own saliva as my vision clears, the pain bringing me out of my lull.
Looking to my side, I make eye contact with Taehyung, who is pushing his jacket into my side, compressing it. He looks terrified, as he checks to make sure I'm alright.
"We have to go. Now." I hear from in front of me. I turn to face a window and see Namjoon and Yoongi. They've dropped something over the edge, and it only looks like we're ten or fifteen feet over the ground.
They usher me towards the edge, and I cooperate, taking a deep breath and moving down the rope as fast as possible, letting Hoseok and Jin catch most of my weight for me. Jin immediately resumes putting pressure on my wound, as the others come down the rope.
We take off, not waiting for anything else to happen. I can barely keep up, but Taehyung and Jimin are working hard to support as much of my weight as possible without slowing us down more. I do the work for my wound, grinding my teeth through the pain of pushing on it, keeping it from bleeding too much.
I can feel as I begin to lose focus, detaching myself again, but it seems to be just in time. We get to some sort of vehicle, and Seokjin makes quick work of it, getting into the driver's seat and doing his thing with it.
Taehyung practically forces me into the backseat, climbing on top of me and putting as much pressure onto my wound as possible. It's not enough to wake me up this time, though, as I can feel myself drift off.
My vision gives up, but I can still feel the vehicle start up, as the engine revs. It almost immediately starts moving, and very fast. The turns are sharp, and I'm not sure where we're headed, but I hope it's nice.
The sounds around me begin to drown out, but I can hear my friend's voices get louder and more panicked as the pressure on my side is relieved. My jacket is ripped off quickly, and the air hits my bullet wound, making it sting more.
"Hurry up!... he's going... too much..." the voice is muffled, but I recognize it to be Taehyung's. I feel him rip the shirt around my wound, and an extremely unpleasant sensation as something wipes at it. I'm then quickly shocked awake as I feel a liquid being poured onto my wound, causing it to burn like all hell.
I open my eyes up, looking around in panic. The car has stopped, and all the doors are opened. Seokjin is using a T-shirt and water to clean my wound, as Taehyung rubs my face nervously, trying to keep me relaxed. As much as I want to say that it's working, the pain of having cold water poured over an open wound is much more powerful.
"Hurry up, we have to go, now." Namjoon rushes, assisting Jin in wrapping my wound as tight as possible, using a belt for pressure. They pull me out of the car, as gently as possible. I'm pretty wide awake now, as I hear sirens blaring in the distance, quickly growing louder.
"I'm okay, I'm okay," I say, trying to push Taehyung away. I somehow manage to hold myself up, but he's quickly by my side again, helping hold me up. I groan but am too tired to fight him off.
"We have to run. The car can't get through here and we're cornered." Namjoon instructs. He points ahead of us – tons of trees for us to run through and around, but no way to drive through. I'm not sure how long I'll be able to run, but I'm willing to try.
We begin our run through the forest, hearing as police cars get dangerously close before being blocked by the same forest. Hoping they can't see us, we don't even bother with looking behind us. My side hurts like hell, but I try my best to ignore it for as long as I can.
We only get a few minutes of running before I start to black-out again, but they drag me along for a few more moments, yelling at each other – words I can't quite make out, but they seem extremely panicked. There are also unfamiliar voices, farther away, yelling out at us.
We come to a stop, and I'm suddenly in a sitting position, and the belt is being removed from my wound. My head is starting to pound, and breathing feels harder, but I can hear a bit better, as more pressure is placed, the cloths being removed and replaced. Tae and Yoongi are sitting on either side of me, having a rushed conversation about me, but it's hard to focus on what they're saying.
I can also hear a distinct voice, very loud, not far away.
"Police! Stop what you're doing, right now!"
Wherever we are, I can feel us moving again, and fast. Forcing my eyes open, I look around, and down at my hand, being held tightly by Taehyung, whose eyes are switching between watching the behind us, and looking at me worriedly. I can tell that we're in a car, but it's not a normal car – as a matter of fact, it looks almost exactly like my father's police vehicle. They stole a fucking police car for our escape.
"Guys, where the fuck are we even going??" I snap, choking my words out through clenched teeth, trying to ignore how much worse the pain gets when I talk. Jin looks back at me, and over to Namjoon, who is sitting in the passenger seat – Jimin and Hoseok are sitting behind us in the SUV bed, watching as the other police cars pursue us persistently.
Namjoon looks back at me, and the rest of the group, analyzing each of our expressions. And then back to Jin, giving him a nod.
The car lurches forward, going full speed, straight ahead.
"We don't really have any other choice," Namjoon says, straight-faced, as he reaches down into Jin's backpack.
I don't pay attention to what he pulls out of it. I instead pay attention to the fact that we've clearly been driving longer than it feels like since we're driving straight towards the fucking ocean.
Joon looks back at us, tossing the backpack at Hoseok, who immediately begins shuffling through it, pulling things out. As we're moving closer and closer to the water, Namjoon shouts for us to hold our breaths, rolling down the front windows. I don't even have the voice to say anything, closing my eyes and holding my breath, leaning into Taehyung's embrace, as I feel us plummet into the water.
