Chapter Ten

   - Kim Taehyung -

   "Well, this place definitely isn't terrifying." I hear Jeongguk comment from beside me. I look over at him and see him gazing up into the building we chose to conduct our... investigations, in. A tall, musky-looking abandoned apartment building in an extremely run-down district in the medium-sized town area just outside of Japan.

   We all stand outside for a moment, waiting for one of the others to be the first one to step inside of the scary, silent building. I see Hoseok and Jimin grab onto Yoongi, who seems unphased and yet, still hesitant to approach the entrance. Namjoon stands with his arms crossed, just behind Seokjin who has a conflicted expression, unsure if he should be playing the protective boyfriend, or the terrified boyfriend.

   After waiting a few more moments, I decide that waiting is boring, and if we're ever going to get inside, one of us has to go. So, I suck my chest in and bury back any of the remnants of fear that might be showing, and go up the creaking steps and into the house, looking around to make sure there are no spiders or snakes, or anything else that might make Hoseok go AWOL.

   So weird, he kills people and steals things for a living, and enjoys it, and yet, he's terrified of harmless spiders. I suppose that pretty much explains his personality to a T, though.

   "Guys, you can come in now. Looks pretty clear." I shout out to them, as I swipe away the only outright visible web I see, silently dodging the spider I see jump away from it. I turn and see Jeongguk standing right behind me, watching me curiously but quickly gaining interest in something else the moment he realizes I'm looking at him. Cute.

    Yoongi drags both Hobi and Jimin up the steps, and Namjoon and Jin follow closely, squeezing onto each other. Everyone moves their way deeper into the house, still tense once we get upstairs, to a nice, closed-off area, perfect for our plan to be executed. It doesn't take long for us to start setting up, and as we do, we slowly relax into the environment and gain excitement for our plan.

   Once we have everything ready, Namjoon begins going over the first steps of the plan with me and Seokjin: First things first, we have to go out and lure one or two of the men that had been following us, into the house, and then knock them out. Then, we... interrogate them, for information, and if they cooperate, we take them out quickly and painlessly. Not my favorite way of going about it, but I do miss getting to savour my kills, rather than being quick and immediately having to run. 

    After cleaning ourselves up, me and Seokjin head out of the house, and slowly walk down to a slightly more populated area, keeping our eyes open for any more suspicious men – who, after some research, we now know are called Daggers, which is the cheesiest damn name for a gang I've ever heard. Not like ours is any better, though.

    It doesn't take more than fifteen minutes for us to catch the attention of the two that had been following us, and I can see them perk up at the realization that they found us again. We begin dodging our way back through a couple of alleys, and through a couple of buildings, trying our best not to let on that we know they're following us. We also have to make sure they don't get too close, though, as that would be very bad since Jeongguk is not with us, and my blades would make more of a mess than I want, as well as rendering the men permanently incapacitated, which isn't what the plan needs.

    Our return to the house is quicker, only pausing occasionally to make sure they're still behind us - checking discreetly, of course – and keeping our eyes open for if any of their friends show up. Fortunately, we don't have to deal with any of those issues. We go behind the house, still pulling the whole 'super sneaky' act on them, and enter in the backdoor.
