Six Months Later
I jerk my head around, startled by the loud sound of breaking glass coming from the other room. I spin around and begin approaching the living room, ready to kick the ass of some intruder, when –
"What the FUCK Namjoon?! That's the third glass this week!" I hear Yoongi shout, followed by Joon muttering apologies under his breath. I go around the corner and step into the living room to see Namjoon staring at the ground with a look of what I can only describe as disappointment, as Seokjin laughs unashamedly at his boyfriend. Hoseok was busy trying to get the vacuum over to the glass without stepping on anything which Jimin seemed to find even more entertaining. I let out a chuckle before I began my return to the kitchen to try and sneak some ice cream.
"Hey Gguk, how about you get in here and help clean up instead of hanging around in the kitchen." I hear Yoongi call. I ignore him and continue what I'm doing, which lasts about seven seconds before the delicious chocolate ice cream was snatched from my hands. I turn to give Yoongi a dirty look, which he quickly reciprocates before dragging me out to the living room.
As we clean, Namjoon took this opportunity to speak to all of us.
"So, guys. I get that we all had fun on our last... job. But next time we need to be more careful with the placement of our signature. It was almost burned up with the rest of the house this last time, and I really don't want to lose credit for a job well done."
"You guys are nuts." Jimin mutters from the side of the room. I look over at him as he runs his hand through his newly dyed pink hair whilst swinging his legs back and forth, looking small from the way he was sitting on the table.
"And you're not?" Yoongi retorts, back to laying comfortably on the couch. "You participate just as much as we do. Just because it isn't your favorite part of the job doesn't mean that you're not equally as guilty."
"Calm down, Yoongi. I get that you're salty about Jimin being taller than you now, but you don't have to be harsh to him." I say humorously. Hoseok and Seokjin both let out audible laughter, while Yoongi just closes his eyes again, not even sparing me a glance. I pout for a moment at the disappointing reaction from him but know that I shouldn't have expected something else. Such a sloth.
Then, another voice echoed from the corner of the room. "Is one centimeter really all that worth getting salty about, though?" Taehyung's low voice spoke. I felt my stomach flutter a little bit before rolling my eyes, and I look over at him. He's at the corner of the room with one of his beloved daggers, sharpening it. Not all that pleasant of an image, honestly, knowing the things he can do with those blades of his.
Namjoon seems to decide he had enough of our banter and needed to return to the plan he was starting a discussion on previously whilst I was stealing ice cream and various other snacks. He stands back up from where he was sitting on the couch and turns my direction, knowing full well that I wasn't listening to him very much while I was going through the fridge.
"So, I've already found our next target. He's an anti-LGBT, extremely 'religious' activist, he lives in a mansion on the other side of town and looks like he has tons of unmarked loot inside. I was thinking tomorrow night could be good, and we could be waiting in the house for him to get home since he doesn't usually get home until after midnight once he leaves his mistress' house." He was saying all this while writing on the markerboard behind him.
"And the wife?" Taehyung asks, moving himself from the corner onto the couch next to Yoongi and Jimin.
"They're separated, she lives on the other side of the city with her pare-."
