Art work I did or Hara inspired by Jeca96 on deviant art. I kinda like it so I thought I'd post it.

We all stood at the train station with Aizawa as he made sure we all had our hero costumes. Most people were incredibly excited to be off to their apprenticeships, but I'm honestly just relieved Todoroki also chose to work with his dad. I wasn't in the mood for being alone with Endeavor.

I was in mid conversation with Mina when Todoroki suddenly walks off, making me spin on my heels to sprint after him.

"Hey, slow down!" I yell.

"You're too slow, we'll miss the train." He's right, when we get there the train's already in the station and we just get onto it as the doors are closing.

We're on the train for a short while and my attempts at conversation don't get me very far. He seems stressed, so the little progress I made at the sports festival has vanished. I end up giving in and staring out of the window, there's no point in me trying if I'm not going to get a decent response out of him.

"How exactly did you get into UA?" Todoroki says out of the blue, slightling startling me.

"Through my enterence exam?" I'm not exactly sure what he wants from me here, he saw my enterence exam.

"I mean how did you even get to try out the exam? Did you go through intense testing? Do you have some kind of special skill none of us know about?" I laugh at his speculation.

"I got into a fight in a cafe and made a deal with Akamine." He looks at me with a look of confusion. "No testing, no qualifications, just fortunate timings and two people in desperate situations."

"Two people in desperate situations? I assume Akamine was desperate to try out her exam and I assume the other person was you, but why were you desperate?" I think for a second, I might have opened up slightly to Mina, but I barely know Todoroki.

"I was in a tricky and stressful situation that I'd been in for quite a while." He raises his eyebrow at me then leans forward.

"You know what I've been through, so why don't you tell me what you have? Or do I need to secretly need to listen to you too?" I was surprised by the sudden attack.

"I'm sorry about that still. I thought you said it was fine." I openly told him about overhearing his conversation with Midoriya, I thought that he forgave me.

"I know, sorry, I shouldn't have mentioned that. I'm just... frustrated." He rubs his face with his hands.

"Frustrated?"

"I don't know anything about you. At all. I know some stuff about most of the class, but when it comes to you I don't know anything. It's just frustrating." I remember the small amount of information I told Mina and decide to say something. He's right, I know stuff about him, so giving him something to work with can't hurt.

"I was looking after Aiko on my own. Akamine needed someone to help her out. We came up with a solution. That's it. That's how I got into the exam. Akamine helps me look after Aiko and I act as her little experiment." He looks at me, wide eyed, seemingly shocked by my change in attitude, but still my blunt take on the situation.

"I see." He rubs his chin as he thinks but doesn't question me further, recognising that he'd be stepping on dangerous grounds.

The rest of the journey is painstakingly quiet. I look at him and he looks like he's about to say something, but keeps his mouth shut.

The train stops and I would've happily sat there if Todoroki didn't remind me to get off. The station is crowded and lively and it looks like Todoroki would be anywhere else. Some random guy practically power walks into me, knocking me backwards.

I completely stumble backwards and Todoroki manages to catch me.

"Watch it." He growls at the man and once I've thanked him, he decides that we should leave as quick as possible. He grabs my wrist and starts weaving me through the people.

Once we're out of the station, it's a short walk to the hero agency. The walk is very short and I can't help but stare in awe at the giant building towering over us.

"Come on." Todoroki growls, already at the doors. We walk in and Todoroki goes to the front desk whilst I can't help but admire the building. The only place I've been in that's as fancy as this is Yaoyorozu's mansion.

We get in an elevator and head up to some high up floor, I wasn't paying attention. I'm struggling to take it all in.

The elevator stops and we walk into a large room that has a desk in it, Endeavor himself sat in the seat. He gives a strained smile as we walk up to the desk.

"Shoto." He starts. "You made a good choice deciding to join me here." He continues to keep talking to his unresponsive son and just completely blanks me, which is fine because I'm once again just examining the room.

"As for you," my attention snaps back to him, "I expect you to do exactly as I say. Remember that you're lucky to be here, you weren't in the sports festival so no one else would have you." Ouch.

"Why am I here then?" I growl, slightly offended by his truthful words. I see Todoroki looking at me from the corner of my eye, but I refuse to break the stare I'm holding with his father.

"You're here to test Shoto's abilities." I'm slightly taken back. "I saw how you fought those villains on the beach." I hear a quiet and very confused "what" from Todoroki but I don't acknowledge it. "They had strong quirks, they had the numbers but you still didn't back down. Your hand to hand combat skills are incredible and the little I do know about your abilities tells me that you're pretty hard to actually harm." He stands up from his desk, beaming at us.

"So I want to see how Shoto's quirk holds up against someone who you can't get a hit on."

"That's not how luck works." I say, slightly annoyed. "It doesn't make me invincible or insanely strong, it tries to help me. I can tell you right now that Todoroki will destroy me."

"I don't care." He growls at me. "Any training is good training. You're going to fight whether you like it or not."
