Over 1k reads?!?! Thank you all se much!!
You could tell who passed and who failed the practical exam from the atmosphere surrounding them when they walked into class the next day. Of course I already knew Mina had failed because she called me the previous night, sobbing down the phone about how she wasn't going to the training camp.
And she still is. Her, Kaminari, Kirishima and Sato and all moping around the classroom, along with Sero, but he's mainly just confused as to if he passed or not. Apparently the only reason he cleared was because of Mineta, which is humiliating in itself.
The door suddenly slams open and in walks Aizawa. He quickly starts talking about the failures of the exam and then he springs the surprise on us that they're coming with us anyway.
I'm completely shocked, but the majority of people aren't. Apparently he's done this before during the first week that I didn't participate in. Really makes me question how much I can't trust him.
The class was buzzing about all going to the training camp together, they're all seemingly forgetting why we're even going. After discussing it with Akamine, she's told me not to treat it as a holiday, not that I was going to, it's hardcore training to prepare us for the hero license exams.
With the exams out of the way, I need to find something new to focus on, and after talking to Ryu, I've decided that I should focus on my ability to effect probability. Or what's expected to be my ability to change probability. The ability has been speculated by doctors but that's about it, so me and Ryu, with the help of our mad science skills, have decided to figure out how.
So far we haven't come up with much though, which has just ended up with us both doubting our abilities and making Ryu slightly sad. Having to comfort a slightly tipsy, slightly sad twenty year old at one in the morning is becoming a more frequent occurrence then I'd like to admit.
"Hey! Why don't we all go shopping as a class?" Hagakure suggests as we leave the class. "We haven't actually spent much time together as a class."
People begin to ask eachother if they're going and a hear Midoriya ask Todoroki if he's going.
"I visit someone on my days off." He says bluntly. He looks up and accidentally meets my eyes, I raise my eyebrows at him, giving him a questioning look which he just brushes off. I don't think he's mentioned anything about visiting someone in the past.
Wait shit, his mother, how could I forget? He told me during the apprenticeship.
Bakugou also decided on not going, despite Kirishima basically begging him to.
"Aw c'mon man, it could be fun." After feeling slightly rejected by Todoroki, I decide to jump to Kirishima's aid and assist in talking Bakugou into joining us.
"Why the hell do you care?!" He yells at me, getting incredibly defensive.
"I don't." My cold words but playful tone catch the pair off guard. "But if Kiri wants you there then there's gotta be a good reason for it." I use a nickname to reference to Kirishima to try and sound more playful and friendly. Maybe even make Bakugou jealous because I'm calling his only friend by a nickname.
"Whatever, I'm still not going." He turns and leaves, leaving just me and Kirishima to stand there. Guess my whole nickname plot didn't work then.
"Sorry." Kirishima starts, "he can just be so rude sometimes."
"It's not your fault Bakugou can be a prick." I just watch Bakugou's back as he leaves. "I don't know how you do it man, I can't say one thing to him without him trying to shank me." He goes to open his mouth, as if he's going to defend him again. "I get it," I don't give him the chance to, "there must be good in him, otherwise he wouldn't be here."
