Chapter 30: Sister

"Ms. Kang, please this way." A girl whom I assumed as Mr. Yang's secretary was guiding me to a meeting room.

Yesterday Mr. Yang called Lisa and begging her to have a meeting regarding her assault. It was just as Lisa predicted before, but since she has to fly to London today, I have to take her place in the meeting.

In the morning, I arrived at YG Building. It wasn't a long trip from the lobby and as I entered the room, I can see Mr. Yang and a man sitting inside. That man must be Teddy.

"Ah, Ms. Kang welcome. Are you alone? I didn't see Ms. Manoban with you." Mr. Yang extended his hand to greet me which I can't refuse out of politeness.

"Yes, I have to apologize for Ms. Manoban's absence. She has another agenda that she needs to attend to so she sent me in her place." I explained to Mr. Yang.

"That's too bad, Please sit down anywhere you like. Anything you like to drink Ms. Kang?" Mr. Yang said.

"Just water please." Then his secretary went out to prepare our drinks before serving it.

"Ms. Kang, I wonder if Ms. Manoban is alright now? YG family was horrified to hear the news and we would like to sincerely apologize for what happened." Mr. Yang continued to blabber in front of me.

"Thank you for your concern Mr. Yang as that is my main reason to be here this morning. I want to discuss yesterday's assault on our CEO, Ms. Lalisa Manoban by one of your employee, Mr. Teddy Park, I believe?" I looked at the man who's sitting next to Mr. Yang.

"Ah, I believe I haven't introduced you to Teddy. This is Teddy Park, the person involved in yesterday's accident." Mr. Yang innocently said.

"Accident you said? Mr. Yang I have to remind you that we have CCTV recording, witness and medical proof. We can file a lawsuit for battery on your employee here. Please do not make me angrier than I already have. We are already kind enough to agree for this meeting before informing our attorney."

"And we are very grateful for that Ms. Kang but as you can see here, Teddy is certainly one of the best music producers that we have. He even handled Blackpink for most of their songs. What I am trying to say here Ms. Kang, YG can't afford to lose Teddy. Let's negotiate a term so that Ms. Manoban can rule yesterday's tragic event as a simple forgettable accident." Mr. Yang finally revealed his true self.

"Why would we want to negotiate a term?"

"Because Ms. Kang, there's nothing good will come from the lawsuit. Let's save both of our companies from the headline tomorrow. You can also save Blackpink from gossips since one of the members is the source of the problem here. I know how dear they are to Ms. Manoban."

He blackmailed me using Jennie. What a douche.

"What's your offer?" I asked.

"First, I will turn a blind eye on Ms. Manoban and Ms. Kim's relationship this time. Second, as for Mr. Park's punishment, he will be laid off for 2 months."

"That's not good enough Mr. Yang, this man here beat the CEO of Manoban Corp. If you want to make a deal, put this following clauses. First, the lay off duration will be doubled. Second, Mr. Park will not be allowed around Ms. Manoban every time she decided to visit YG and the third, Mr. Park is not allowed to be left alone with Ms. Kim in any situation whether for a project or personal matter." I added.

"You asked for a lot of things Ms. Kang."

"Yes, but none of them will give your business any disadvantage. I did not even ask you to cover the medical bill. Take it or leave it Mr. Yang. I don't have much time left."
