this is kinda short, sorry!
It was a second right after you went to change to your outdoor shoes the colony of rain crashed the school ground. You closed your shoe locker a bit hard out of irritation. "Damn it," you cursed and rested your forehead onto the locker out of helplessness. You were contemplating as to who you should blame, the rain or yourself who forgot to bring an umbrella on this rainy season.
The main problem was it's already evening when you finished your club activity and being the one who's responsible to tidy up the club room you got out later from everyone else.
And so here you are, alone and saddening. Or so you thought.
Suddenly you heard a gasp and the cheerful greeting followed, "(y/n)-chan!" having your energy drained by the rain you couldn't reply with the same enthusiasm, "Ah, hello Lev," you offered a little wave.
He looked like he just got out from an intense volleyball training session but managed to got away, but you chose not to ask. "Why are you still here? It's getting dark you know." He said with a tone of disapproval.
"Yeah well you see," you gestured to the unsettling rain, and to you, a person without an umbrella. "Ohhh," he widened his catlike eyes, as if just noticing something hidden for so long. "Well then let's go together!"
The confusion in your face was blatant, "I'm sorry, Lev, but did you not see the real problem here?" You approached the rain and brought a hand to point it. "Yeah I know, but we can just run for it," his expression was serious, certain there aren't any flaws to what he just said.
Your crease of eyebrows deepens, "Don't you think if it was a good idea I would have done it before you even came here?" A smirk appeared, as if an imaginary light bulb had appeared right before him. "Running alone is lonely and a no go, but now I'm here, we can both run together and it will be fun!" The smirk turned into a genuine grin, flicking some kind of strange ideas to your head that it actually could be fun, but you quickly shrugged them off.
"Wait wha-" before you could even continue you felt him dashed right in front of you while tugging your hand into the blissful heavy rain. "Lev!!" You scolded though now it was far too late. "I'll let you punish me in any way you want later but first you gotta catch me!" He ran off in front of you, but not actually getting further, he stayed in a thoughtful distance, obviously holding back.
"Oh I will!"
After that, you did not even think about the endless raindrops hitting your body, how your vision was invaded by the water sliding onto your eyes, you could only think about how much fun you were in, how much joyous it was to actually went through rain with someone.
But let's just say someone had to skipped school the day after becauseof a cold.
