My Doc Dad
Chrisrtina’s POV
“DADDY!! Wala ka bang pasok?? Kayo ni Mommy. Nandito naman si Grandma eh.”
“I want to take care of you that’s why.”
“Dad.. you’re spoling me too much. Paano kung hindi ko kayo papasukin tomorrow.”
“It’s okay. That’s my plan. Isa pa tomorrow is your last day here. I want to make sure that you’re 100 percent healthy.”
“But Mommy is the head doctor here Dad.. she’s been with me for 24 hours.” Mommy Clara is a doctor… I forgot to tell you all!!
“It’s unfair you know.. I’s been how many years tapos tinataboy mo ko.”
“Dad. Don’t act like a child. Hindi bagay..”
“Basta hindi ako aalis.” Nagpunta siya sa may sofa at nanuod ng TV.. what’s worst is.. he’s watching Princess Diaries…
I remember…
“You’re like that pincess.. you’re Dad’s Princess.”
“And Mommy’s princess..”
I remember.. we all happy together… playing outside the garden.. with Mom tending to the flowers.. Dad was reading the newspaper.. I… looking at my parents.. smiling with each other to their hearts content…
…but now… Mommy has given me.. Mommy Clara… she noticed me looking at her..
“Why? May masakit ba??” Bigla namang nasa tabi naming si Daddy. Si Grandma din.
I shake my head. “None.. Mommy…”
She patted my hair. She smiled and kissed me on the forehead…

“Doc.. may nagpapabigay po kay Ms. Christina.”
“Oh, really??” Kinuha ni Mommy yun at binigay sa akin.
“W-ho gave this to my princess??”
“Hmm.. wala pong sinabi eh. Basta yung delivery man lang po ang nagbigay.”
“I think Tita Crisel give this to me. Kausap kop o kasi siya kanina.”
“Ah.. buti naman.”
