The monkees find love

Chapter 3

Mike still had the rest of the day with Shaun. They spent a while hiking and joking around while hiking.

"So, what do you have planned for the rest of the day?" Shaun asked Mike as they walked back down the trail.

"I'm not sure." Mike began to think of what else to do with Shaun.

"Come on Mike. You must have something planned."

"Well, now that you mention it..........I might." Mike smiled and put his arm around her. "So, I do have a question."

"Yes?"

"Would you be my girlfriend?"

"Well, this is just the first date, but yes. I would be happy to."

"Great."

"They reached the parking lot and approached the MonkeeMobile. It was only 5pm and Mike had a special dinner set up at the Vincent Van Gogh Gogh and thats where they were headed. Shaun had  no idea. Mike was trying to impress her and  he was trying really hard.

He knew the others were still at the pad. They didn't leave to pick up their dates until later on that evening. Mike picked Shaun up at 3 because he wanted to spend as much time as he could with her.

Once they got to the restaurant, Mike took Shaun's hand want they both walked inside. He said to the waiter there: "Reservation for Nesmith."

"Right this way sir."

The waiter walked them over to a private booth with their dinner already served and a couple candles lit on the table.

Shaun was shocked. She didn't know Mike would go through all this for her. "How did you pull this off?"

"Well, it just so happens, I know the manager and he pulled some strings so I could do this for a very special lady."

Shaun turned a very dark shade of red and turned away so Mike wouldn't see. All he did was chuckle.

"You're so sweet Mike. Who knew you were the romantic type?"

She went into the booth first with Mike sitting next to her. "Well, its my secret so, don't tell anyone." He winked at her.

The past few weeks have been heaven for Mike and Shaun as their relationship got stronger with each minute they spent. Micky, Davy and Peter were all enjoying their dates as well. Davy was taking Lucie out of town for a few days. Both him and Peter were taking their girlfriends out of town in 2 seperate cities. Mike and Micky decided to hang with their girlfriends in town.

They were the only ones at the pad and Mike heard a knock at the door. Micky was upstairs trying to find some decent clothing to wear on his date with Taylor.

Mike walked up to the door and it was Taylor and Shaun. Shaun hitched a ride with Taylor to get there. "Hey you two. Come on in." Mike motioned for both of them to go in.

The first thing that Shaun did was wrapping her arms around Mike's neck and kissed him passsionately.

Once she pulled away, he asked: "Mmm. What was that for?"

"What, I can't kiss my man?" 

Mike wrapped his hands around her waist. "Well, can I have one more?"

She smiled. "Sure." She kissed him again. This time, a bit longer. They both finally released and Shaun took a step back. He took her hand and twirled her around.

"Woah cowboy." Shaun said as she landed in his arms and patted his chest as he set her up again.

Micky saw the whole thing that Mike did. "To be honest, I didn't know you were the romantic type Mike."
