The monkees find love

Chapter 12

It was time for Mike and Shaun to head back to Malibu.

"I'm gonna miss you mamma." Mike said as he pulled his mom into a tight hug.

"I'm gonna miss you too Michael." She turned to Shaun. "It was great to meet you Shaun." She reached out and shaked her hand.

"It was great to meet you too."

"You two have a safe trip back. Ya hear?"

"We will mom. I love you."

"I love you too boy."

Mike and Shaun got into the car and Mike waved at his mom as he backed out of the drive.

It took another 3 days to get back to Malibu. Mike dropped Shaun off at her house and before she went inside her house, she approached the driver's side door and leaned in and gave him a kiss.

"Now, are you sure you will be alright?"

"Yeah. If I'm not, I have the guys now when you're not around."

"True. So, I'm only a phone call away. Call me if you can't talk to the guys."

"I will." He gave her a small smile as he left her house. He finally got to the monkee pad and pulled in to the drive. He got out and was greeted by Peter who ran up to him and hugged him.

"Woah Pete. Down boy." Mike said barely able to breathe due to Peter hugging him so tightly.

Peter released Mike and said: "Sorry Mike. We just missed you. That's all. You alright?"

"Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?"

"Well, you lost someone close to you and me and the guys were worried about you."

"I'm fine Pete. Thanks for checkin' up on me." He said patting Peter on the shoulder.

Peter grabbed Mike's bags from his hands. "What are you doin' Peter? I got those."

"No. You did have them. I got them now. Its the least I can do. Besides, you had a long trip and I'm sure you're tired."

"You got that right." Mike said with a smile.

Peter walked in first and before Mike walked in, Peter said to the other guys: "Hey, look who I ran into!" Peter pushed Mike inside.

"Hey! I thought you weren't due back for another 3 days." Davy mentioned.

"Don't sound too excited." Mike said as Peter set his bags down.

"Sorry Mike. We are just glad you're back." Davy and Micky both walked up to Mike and hugged him.

"Seriously, I wasn't gone for that long guys."

"Well, to us, it felt like a lifetime." Micky responded.

Mike looked scared now. "Should I be scared? Or leave? Or both?"

"No. Nothing like that. We just missed you."

"Oh. I see. So, nothing happened while I was gone?"

Nope."

"Nothing at all?"

"Mike, nothing happened."

"Yeah. I don't believe you guys not to mention, I don't care."

"Wait, wait. Did big guy say he didn't care about what happened while he was gone?"

"AH-HAH. So something did happen." Mike yelled catching Micky by surprise.

"Ooh. Me and my big mouth." Micky said putting his hand over his mouth. "You trapped me in it."
